Shakin' Bakin' Tuesday!

Today was yet another busy day in the Norman household. This morning I finished up some run over cleaning and other things I wasn't able to get done yesterday. I have to mention that Hadley ate 2 pieces of cinnamon raisin toast this morning. This might not sound like much to some of you, but for Hadley who is really not a breakfast eater to begin with this was MONUMENTAL!

After breakfast Hadley was digging through some stuff and ran across my checkbook. The checkbook was then her companion for the remainder of the morning/afternoon. While cleaning I could hear her talking in her room. I walked back to find her setting up all her ducks in a row and then opened her book and started reading to them. I love this girl!
When Andrew got home we put up our outside Christmas decor. It didn't take too long, we really don't have much.
Hadley picked out our yard sign. Mainly because it has HoHo on it.

While on some adventures this afternoon I stumbled upon this tree topper. I've been looking for a top hat tree topper, not this exactly but I fell in love when I saw it. And it was $30 cheaper than the one I had been looking at online.

Hadley enjoying the Christmas mix I put together and our Christmas tree.

TODAY'S BAKING ACTIVITY:
Pretzel Peppermint Bark
(Ingredients: Pretzels, candy canes, 1/2 package vanilla/chocolate bark)
Crush your candy canes.
Melt bark
Add pretzels to bark. (*Note: Mention to your child/husband that when you put in a LARGE amount of pretzels at one time it makes it harder to get them coated thoroughly.)
Coat pretzels then place on wax paper to dry.
Before completely dried sprinkle candy cane dust over the top.
Check with medicine dropper to see if they are dry. (Random I know, but definitely necessary.)
Repeat all steps with chocolate bark.

ENJOY!!!!

Hadley pointing out daddy's hair before bedtime. (For those of you wondering...Yes that is spit-up on Andrew's shoulder, we have an 18 month old who still spits up.)

Today was a blast and our home is officially Christmasfied!!!

Monday Madness!

So today Hadley and I were super busy. I wanted to get done with all my Christmas shopping today, but I also needed to include my Wal-Mart run. This morning we ran to Target and Wal-Mart and then back home for Hadley's nap. During her nap I started dinner and then it was off again as soon as she woke up. First to Hobby Lobby -->Kirklands-->Barnes and Noble-->and lastly Babies R' Us. Oh my word I'm tired and Hadley was an absolute jewel the whole time. Good News....I'M DONE WITH MY CHRISTMAS SHOPPING!!!!!!

Andrew got home before Hadley and I just a bit stressed as I'm sure he will continue to be for the next 2 weeks considering finals start this Friday and continue through next Friday. Followed by a well deserved 5 week Christmas break, WHOOP....WHOOP!!!

TONIGHT'S DINNER:
Homemade Chili topped w/ homemade corn bread, sour cream and cheese!
The 40* weather made tonight an AMAZING night for chili!!!! Lookin' forward to colder weather and sweaters! Tomorrow's high....48*!

A HOGWILD Thanksgiving!!

Let me start by warning you...there WILL be a lot of pictures!
I L-O-V-E the holidays!! Mainly because of the family and friends and of course the FOOD! Andrew's grandmother is an amazing cook and she had us all over for Thanksgiving this year. Andrew's dad's side of the family is pretty big when we all get together so we set up some tables in the garage. Which was perfect: 1-plenty of room to move around, 2- nothing for the kiddos to break!!!
THANKSGIVING DAY
Andrew and the girls!

Couple of cuties!

THANKSGIVING EVENING
The girls actually headed out to shop. Yes...there was a local store that opened up Thanksgiving day from 4-8pm!!! We left the kids with their daddy's and found several good bargains!
Trumpet and recorder lessons.

Bathtime Mohawks!!

Trey showin' off his camera skills.

Not too bad really!

FRIDAY
PEEK-A-BOO!!!

Headed to J.O. and Tamra's for dinner and games, it was so much fun!

Love this pic below. The girls both wanted to use the potty and then brush their teeth, but really weren't too interested in putting their diapers back on.

SATURDAY
Hadley says, "Wooo...PIG SOOIE!"

Our pre-game hangout. (A kickin' RV...yes I said "kickin'")

Apparently some of the Hog fans couldn't handle the excitement.

Andrew found a friend, as usual. Good to see you Blaine!

J.O. and T after the big win!!!

Now we just need Auburn to win and then LOOK OUT Ohio State, we're going to the SUGAR BOWL!!!!!
Hadley slept for almost 3 of the 5 hours it took us to get home because she had played so hard this weekend! Thank you to Trey and Addy for making this trip the best EVER!!! Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and GO HOGS!!
