Today Hadley and I did a bit of cleaning, made our usual Wal-Mart run, met a friend at Carters (Fun! Fun!) and then headed home where Baby Hadley and Jai came over to play for the rest of the afternoon. What a great day!!

Wal-Mart Trip:
Today, like most Wal-Mart days, I was approached by someone asking for money. They all usually have a pretty good reason/story for needing the money but today's was pretty elaborate. Apparently he had just moved to Tulsa, this morning, and was starting at Spartan College to study avionics. Unfortunately his dean told him he couldn't move in until tomorrow, so he went to find a hotel. Luckily there was one near by giving a 12% (???) discount to students who could show their I.D. but they declined his credit card. (He said it was because he used it to get here from Michigan.) He proceeded to come to Wal-Mart to use their ATM and take out his last $30. He had already gone to several churches who couldn't help him out and he only needed $12. I gave him some money, but seriously! I really wish people would just ask for the money and not worry about making up some cockamamie story to lure me in. #1- Who starts school in the middle of February, #2- What dean would seriously turn you away if you really had nowhere to go, #3- If you're going to say you're from Michigan at least pretend to have a northern accent, #4- If you want people to believe you got a full scholarship in avionics, look the part (example: shave your face, take a shower, put on clean clothes), oh and #5- Don't tell a completely different story to the lady just two cars away from me, where I can hear the entire conversation before you come and talk to me. I'm sorry if that sounded ugly, I just wanted to say if I'm going to give them money I'm going to give it to them regardless of their story, the end.
