Ups and Downs of Our Wednesday...

Ups!
So I had a couple girlfriends over today to work on some crafts and I finished these coasters. The tutorial is HERE you can also find lots of other cute ideas on her blog. I just printed my picture on white cardstock and the rest you can find on her blog.

I found these adorable cupcakes I want to do for Hadley's party. I'm planning to add flowers so they're more girly. Only a week from this Saturday and my baby's 2!

Another up would be that we went to Cherry Berry after church tonight and it was oh so yummy!

Downs!
I called the Bakery where I wanted to get the cupcakes I showed above and they told me they couldn't do them for copyright reasons, boo!! But apparently I can do them since I won't be selling them.
So it looks as though there is a cookie placed on top that is iced and has the face piped on. Well I didn't have a cookie cutter in the shape of the face so I had to improvise.
Before...
After...
(It kinda looks like Mickey Mouse, we'll see how it turns out.)
A girlfriend of mine is coming over next week and we're going to work on them. I'm still having the bakery make the cupcakes themselves I will only have to place the faces and ears on after we pick them up.

Shakin' Bakin' Tuesday!! {Daddy Style}

Today was kinda a crazy morning but Hadley had her baking activity:
Lemon-PoppySeed Muffins
She also got to do this activity with her daddy!
They had a blast together!

The yummy aftermath.

After the morning activity we headed to the Air Force base so I could get my Military I.D. We're officially an Air Force family on paper, ha. I also tried out another doctor in town this afternoon and I would recommend him to anyone that needed a good PCP, loved him!! Following my doctors appointment we had the pleasure of watching the Campbell kiddos and it was a blast.

Andrew pretty much took Kipton the entire time.

The girls had a tea party and then hung out on the couch to watch Tangled.
Hope y'all had a great Tuesday as well!

Rain, Rain Go Away!

So a little over a week ago we were on a burn ban and had some pretty severe fire break outs in Oklahoma and now we're having issues with flooding. What ever happened to a good ole' happy medium?!

So today, like the last 3 has been dark and rainy. Hadley and I slept in till 9:30 and it was glorious! The rest of the day was pretty lazy. I picked up and tried to get some stuff organized while Hadley worked on getting everything unorganized, ha. We made our Wal-Mart run but it was after nap and we got some assistance from Daddy, HOORAY! When we got home it was time for dinner and a bath, a pretty uneventful day indeed.

During Hadley's nap today I felt inspired to make a bow for our Disney trip. So I made this one and thought she could wear it the day we go to Animal Kingdom (given the zebra print).
Disney Countdown:
23days, 18hrs, 18mins.

Well, that's about it.

Hoppy Easter!!

HAPPY EASTER!!!!

Well, nothing says Easter like a storming morning! Despite the weather we made the best of it. This morning we had pink chocolate chip pancakes in the shape of bunnies, well at least I attempted bunnies.

After breakfast was time for the Easter basket. Lots of princess stuff.
She also got a sprinkler and some sidewalk chalk. (We got a lawn sprinkler so we could also use it to... you guessed it water the lawn, so I guess we'll be sharing this gift.)
She loved all of it.

Then we had a little Easter egg hunt around the house.

All ready to go to church! My precious little girl is getting so big!

T.G.I.F. Favorites

So I thought I'd try my hand at the whole linking up thrill. I love Fridays for so many reasons and one is that you have the majority of the week to look back and reflect on some of your favorite things about it. So today (I know its technically Saturday, but I planned to do it yesterday) I'm reflecting, ha!

Andrew and I have made frequent visits to our very favorite frozen yogurt bar, Cherry Berry!

Last night I got to have an amazing "Me Day" followed by an awesome girls night. I don't know if Water for Elephants is my all time new favorite movie, although RobP is pretty tasty, but it was the movie we saw last night and it was a blast.

This is my new favorite picture of Hadley! Last night on my girls night when I started talking about Hadley I showed everyone this picture, yes I'm one of those moms.

My favorite Hadley moment this week has been that she loves our bed. When Audrey was here a couple weeks ago we ALL slept together in our bed. (I'm sure you could guess the amount of fun that was.) Anyway, since then Hadley has asked for "Night, night bed" which is unfortunately our bed. Well last night Hadley went to sleep in her bed and woke up about an hour or so later. Andrew saw her peak around the corner and walk down the hall to our room. When he looked in the room she was climbing up, getting under the covers, then looked up and saw him, smiled and said, "Night, night bed."

Online browsing its so much fun and in the midst I found these new favorite dresses for the Hadster.
I love this Valencia Dress, its just so girly!
and this precious Eyelet Maxi

I would love to hear about all your favorite moments from this week. Link up and share!

Show Us Your Life {Organization}

Okay I really don't have pictures, I apologize but I'll just say organization makes me so happy inside. And when Kelly's Korner made it her SUYL theme this week you better believe I'm gunna add my two cents.

Routine/Schedule:
I love knowing what's coming next and I think it helps Hadley too. As far as her schedule goes, I try to keep it as consistent as possible. It obviously get a little messed up on playgroup days and on Monday's, because that my Wal-Mart and cleaning day. But consistency is key with toddlers I think.

I love doing my Wal-Mart and cleaning on the same day. Yes, it very tiring but I'm so glad its over at the beginning of the week and the rest of the week I just pick up after Hadley goes to sleep. Also, having my Wal-Mart days consistently on Monday's helps Andrew to remember to tell me when he needs stuff.

We also try to make our Family Fun Night on Fridays. This is just helpful because when we day is out when looking to plan things with other people as to not schedule it over our family time.
Storage:
I am obsessed with labels and baskets. I think they are such a cute way to organize and are very self explanatory. If you open our bathroom cabinets there are baskets everywhere. Most of them labels with what's inside. Even without labels baskets are a good/cute way to stuff things and hide them. Hadley's shelves in her playroom have really cute animal face baskets in them and make the room pop with color and declutter, but if you were to pull one out and look inside you will totally lose that feeling of organization, ha.

I also love rubbermade drawers. I have them in closets and in the garage. I have a 3 drawer in our coat closet: top drawer- hats; middle drawer- scraves & gloves, bottom drawer- extra sheets and blow-up mattress (kinda random) If you asked me what any drawer in our house had in it I could most likely answer in a heartbeat.

Overall:
I think the biggest thing about being organized is not letting yourself become overwhelmed. If you get too much going on and let things pile up, thinking about how hard its going to be to get reorganized is exhausting and makes you not want to do it. Know your limits and don't over do it.

KNOW THIS=> If you DON'T put too much on your plate and it makes it much easier to stay organized. =)

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Here's what I'm loving:

I'm loving that I got Hadley to try kiwi for the first time ever. She wasn't a fan. =/

I'm loving that Hadley opted to sit on her sit-and-spin rather than in her chair while watching Pooh this morning.

I'm loving that when we went out to play today Hadley had to be in full glam!
(Tiara, necklace, wand, and of course sparkly shoes)

I'm loving that this was what Hadley's plate looked like after she was done eating her lunch today, NOT! (She's cutting her 2 year molars and they're being a big booger.)

I'm loving that tomorrow morning, weather permitting, Hadley and I will be going to the zoo with our playgroup.

I'm loving that tomorrow evening, weather permitting, our little family will be going to our first Drillers game!

I'm loving that the FedEx guy dropped off Hadley's big girl bedding. All we need is for the bed rails (which are on back order till JULY) to come in and Hadley's moving up to a full size bed.

I'm loving that tomorrow Andrew takes his last test until finals start.

I'm loving that this Saturday our family will be participating in the OSU Scrub Run.

I'm loving that 28 days, 18 hrs and 53 minutes from now we will be checking into our Disney Resort, WooHoo!!!! (I have an app on my phone I did not just do that in my head, ha.)
What are you loving?

Blogger Funk!

Hey guys, sorry its been so long since my last post. I think I've only posted like twice in the last several weeks, wow! Anyway I'm doing it now. Due to my blogging hiatus I will be posting several collages so you're not bombarded by millions of photos... you're welcome. =)

Over the weekend we went to Audrey's 3rd birthday. We had so much fun and there was plenty to do, there was:
BUBBLES!
JUMPING!
(which Hadley did most of the time)
SWINGING!
(Both on the swing or with a gold club.)
Easter Egg Dying!
Delicious cake to munch on after some pretty hefty burgers.
After eating there was an egg hunt too!
Audrey opened a few presents before heading home.
Andrew went to the Razorback Red/White scrimmage with my brother and brother-in-law and then we headed back to T-Town, but not before getting another round of leftover cake, yum!

Sunday, I helped host a shower at church, which turned out super cute. One of my friends made those adorable Pea-in-a-Pod cupcakes and everyone loved them!

Monday, Hadley and I made banana shaped crayons for her monkey party.
How To Do:
1- We just picked the colors we wanted (wrappers removed)
2- Broke them up
3- Placed them in a silicone baking sheet
4- Put in the oven at 300* for 5-10 minutes.
5- Chill. To speed up the chilling process I put them in the freezer, the little dish only had 2 bananas. (Maybe I should have gotten more than one.)

Monday afternoon Hadley and I also planted our first garden.
We have tomatoes (Roma & Heirlooms), bell peppers, jalapenos, and a blueberry bush.

Today was a pretty laid back day I did laundry pretty much all day (with a couple breaks for Hadley to play outside), mowed, pulled/sprayed weeds and trimmed some shrubs. I say it was laid back mainly because I never left the house, meaning I didn't have to get ready, which is pretty nice sometimes, ha!

Hadley and I found a cocoon.

RaNdOm!
Hadley has some of the best faces and here is a compilation I've put together over the last couple days.
That's pretty much it on my catch up. I did want to ask that you continue to pray for Melanie and the babies. Also, one of the girls in our SAA playgroup had family living in the Tushka area where the tornado hit so hard last week. Her family is okay, but the town has been completely ruined and they are all pretty shook up. Please pray for them as well as all the other families affected by the tornadoes last week.
