Bentley Park and Banana Bread

Yesterday our SAA playgroup met at Bentley park to play at their splash pad.  Not gunna lie this splash pad is legit!!

They also have a nice park area which will be nice after Labor Day when they tun the water off.

The mom's enjoyed getting to relax a bit.

After successfully wearing them out we decided to treat them to Sonic.

When we got home Hadley had an outfit change and we did some baking.  I found the recipe on pinterest and it is super easy.
Mix 3-4 mashed ripe bananas, 1 yellow cake mix, 2 eggs and 3/4c chocolate chips.  (I also added a bit of honey and cinnamon.) Then bake at 350* for 35 minutes.

I made 2 loaf pans, which is good because it is yummy.

When Andrew got home we took some to our neighbor, Gary.  He's a musician and has his band over about once a week and if we listen closely we can hear them at night, I'm not gunna lie they're pretty good.
Looking at the picture its seems as though Hadley was not in a "chit-chat" mood but rather a "toss it and lets go" kinda mood.  =/

I can't wait for fall!!  Lots more baking and fun crafts!  I think I can feel it trying to make its way into Oklahoma.  Hopefully it does soon as we're getting back into 100* weather again.  =/

Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young...

As much as I love dressing Hadley in cute outfits I occasionally feel like Hadley should have free reign in what she wears.  Since MDO starts next week, and I'll probably be picking out all of her outfits, I'm letting her use these last few days to practice her "free reign."
Today's outfit:
Not too bad.

Post Shot Shout-Out:
I mentioned to you about the weight I gained while taking the lupron shots.  Well, after stepping on the scale this morning, I am proud to announce that since my last shot I have lost 8 lbs!!

Hadley and I picked up some stuff to give her teacher at open house Thursday afternoon and picked up some baby stuff for a shower I have Thursday evening.

We took a lunch break and while looking for a spot we saw this parking fail.

I also got this picture of Hadley, check out the pose, ha.  I have no idea!

Outside one of the stores we saw piles of dead crickets.
WHAT IS UP WITH THE CRICKETS?!
I guess they fogged them because it smelled kind of smokey and these were all dead.

After those errands we came home and played outside.  Until I took this picture of Jake and realized he drastically needs grooming.
I called to set up an appointment but he needed his shots updated before he could come in.

Luckily you can just walk-in to get shots so we loaded up and headed to the vet.  Jake's good to go now and Hadley found a friend.  =)

When we got home, Hadley resumed her outside play and ran around like crazy.

While I got dinner ready Hadley Pumpkin Fairy was entertaining us with some dance moves.  She's really excited because we set-up a trial dance/gymnastics class for next week to see what she thinks.

After dinner Andrew and Hadley enjoyed some Oreos for dessert.

Bedtime routine is a favorite around here, Hadley and her daddy have it all set-up.  After bath time it's a short Bible story, prayers and then her memory verses.

I have to note Hadley's PJs.  Her Cece got these for her for next summer because they are a 5T.  I thought I'd try them on because they were pretty cute.... and they fit! *sigh*

Here's a snip from one of her verses.  =)

Weekend Update {and some extra}

Thursday I had an SAA meeting.  Hadley and I grabbed Sonic and dinner.  Then, Andrew met us at the school, helped me set up for the meeting and took Hadley home.

I love Sonic runs with this girl!!

Friday Hadley and I had a few errands to run. Then we had a lunch date at McAlisters before we headed our separate ways for the weekend.
I headed to NWA for the weekend to celebrate my brother's 26th birthday while Andrew, Hadley and Jakers went to Searcy to see his family and so he could do his Fantasy Draft.  The league he's in there is VERY serious about their fantasy football.

The fam (-Jonathan, because he had to work) went to dinner at Colton's and I got to sit by this little cutie!!!
I actually spent the weekend at my sister's and her husband's house.  After dinner we had plans to get pretty crazy but opted for a relatively early bedtime.  ;)

Saturday I picked up my brother to make a Wal-Mart run for some items I needed for a project.  While we were there we discovered that Swamp People were coming so we decided to get our bracelets and wait in line.
We decided to get in line around 11:35 only to find out they weren't arriving until 12:30.  Needless to say it was a long wait and the line didn't really start moving until about 12:45, but it was so worth it.  (I'll be honest I have no idea who these people are, but Jonathan was excited thus I was excited.)

We were pretty excited at this point because we could finally see the front of the line.

This was taken right after Jonathan got him to say, "Choot 'em!!"

Dad and I spent the afternoon working on a project for Jonathan's birthday.
I'll have to update the final pictures later because we didn't finish.

We had a little free time before dinner so mom and I ran by the Promenade, where I found these.
I've been wanting a pair of clogs for Hadley this fall, preferably silver, but I found these at Crazy 8.  They were marked down to $8 from $32.  Then, when I checked out they came up at $4.99!!!  I guess Hadley will have 2 pairs of clogs this year!

Jonathan chose dinner at Mama Fu's and it was delicious!!!  He also got this yummy birthday cake!

I ran around for a little bit after dinner then headed back to Jo's for more snuggle time with Paige.
Jolene also fixed peanut butter toast with hot cocoa, while we kinda watched The Amercanization of Emily (1964), with Julie Andrews and James Garner.

Sunday, we went to church and came back to mom and dad's for lunch where they had prepared steaks, roasted potatoes, green beans, corn and rolls for Jonathan's actual birthday.  I ate way too much!!

Today Hadley and I ran several errands and stopped in at PBkids for me to find something and play a bit.

When Andrew got home we went to dinner with some friends to celebrate.  Nichole called this celebration dinner "YAY! No more taking drugs keeping me from having babies!"  It was very fitting!

They treated us to dinner and gave us the sweetest, most appropriate, card!!
This amazing family is such an inspiration.  They have gone through everything Andrew and I are going through and more.  As you can see they have a sweet little boy and one on the way, God is good!!

After dinner Ryan and Hadley both got a gum ball.  They had been looking forward to this the whole meal.  =)

I can't believe we're in our last week of August.  Hadley has MDO open house Thursday, to meet her teacher, then she starts back a week from tomorrow!!

Picnics in the Park

Wednesday morning Hadley and I met up with Jessica and Hadley Joy at JBF to see if we could find some deals.  Hadley's size was pretty well picked over so I came out empty handed but Jessica found something.

After wards we headed to Tally's Deli to pick up some lunch.
The girls were rockin' the shades.

The Hadleys

We got it to go and took it to Woodward Park and had a picnic.  The weather was perfect.  The abnormal amount of awkward staring squirrels was not perfect.

Before we left we did some swinging to wrap up the afternoon.

Hadley and I made a quick run to Carter's as their pjs were $10!

When we got home we went on an overdue family run.
Andrew and I enjoyed our new Pure Cadence Brooks.

And Hadley rocked her usual, very original, running ensemble.

It wasn't a long run but it's a run.  Its been a couple weeks for me so anything is better than nothing.

For dinner we had mini taco bowls.
I used ground turkey and cooked it with fresh onions, scallions and corn.  Added about a 1/4 cup milk and cheesy taco seasoning.  Then I lined mini muffin pans with wontons and filled them with the cooked meat and sprinkled with cheese.  Baked at 350* for 10-15 minutes then topped with salsa.
Very easy and yummy!!
