Pedis and Parties!!

Well, this weekend was two sweet little girls birthday parties and Hadley was able to go to both! So Friday morning in preparation I gave Hadley and myself matching pedicures: #1 Because it was a party so of course we needed fresh polish and #2 It was purple polish and kinda festive for the season, seeing as though Halloween is just around the corner. Our first party was for a little girl at church, Sadye. She was turning 2 and had an Elmo, or as Hadley says, "Melmo," party.
Cute little table set up.
Sweet birthday girl! Happy Birthday Sadye!
Hadley's friend Emerson, from church, just lounging.I found Hadley playing in one of the rooms as she was trying to get both feet inside the basketball hoop. Fortunately she decided to stop with one when she realized the difficulty of getting the second one in.
They're were lots of kiddos to play with, thanks for inviting us Sadye!!
Saturday was Addi E's party! She was turning 1!
Cute and very yummy cake!
COOKIES!
Hadley kept entertained most of the time with balloons.
Addi got a lei from her grandpa who lives in Hawaii.
Cake time! Addi was a little unsure of having icing on her hands. That is until she tasted it. =)
Hadley also enjoyed some cake. (We had to strip down b/c Hadley can't be trusted with hot pink icing,)
Hadley got Addi and Razorback cheer leading uniform to match hers, now they can be twinkies! (For more sweet pictures of Addi's party click here.)
This morning before heading out for church, I thought we looked "fall-y" plus it actually felt "fall-y," thus we took a picture to commemorate.
The fam.
We had so much fun this weekend with friends and it didn't hurt that we had two parties to enjoy either.

Thanks for checkin' in!!

Warm Fuzzies...

Today was a fun day so of course on fun days you need a fun outfit. Hadley was rockin' the 80's something fierce today!
Now onto the focus of this blog post...Warm Fuzzies. We had a week every year when I was in elementary school dedicated to Warm Fuzzies. If you don't know the story of the Warm Fuzzy click here. Anyway, we would always make these treats called warm fuzzies and they would sell them before class started for .25. Well as I'm sure you've already figured out during that week I ALWAYS had .25!!! I looked forward to this week every year. So, I was really craving them today, which naturally means it's WARM FUZZY WEEK in our house.
Hadley was such a good helper when shopping for all the ingredients.
Ingredients you'll need: Almond Bark, Jumbo Marshmallows, Rice Crispies, Toothpicks
You might also need some extra hands, I know I did. (This activity was right after nap time, hints the crazy hair.)
Dip marshmallow in melted almond bark.
Cover with rice crispies.
Place on wax paper to dry.
Daddy helped us with the chocolate Warm Fuzzies.
Vanilla Warm Fuzzies...Chocolate Warm Fuzzies...
My wonderful husband grilled us an amazing meal tonight. Grilled veggies over rice, lemon pepper chicken and of course Warm Fuzzies for dessert, yum!
Thanks for checkin' in!!

Lunch With Daddy.

This morning I had to run an errand up town to get a new straightner because my CHI of 3 years just went kaput. =( I found one at Sally's that the lady said was awesome and it was half the price of a CHI. Got it home and... LOVE it, HOORAY! Anyway, after the straightner errand we went and had lunch with Andrew. I didn't take any pictures of lunch itself just when we dropped him back off at school. Hadley was in a mood all morning but as soon as she saw him walking to the car she started laughing and saying, "Daddy... Daddy!" We went to Subway, which seems simple, but it was so nice since most days he leaves before we get up and comes home just a few hours before we head to bed. He's been working so hard and we're so proud. Here's the picture from lunch today.
Following the drop-off we headed home for Hadley's nap. And afterwards it was all play. Well... and candy corn, evident by the picture below.
Chit-chattin with some girlfriends.
The child has a room FULL of toys and yet chooses to walk around with a bucket on her head for entertainment, priceless.
This is a picture before leaving for church tonight. Its hard to tell because she kept leaning her head back in the pictures, but Hadley has her first PONYTAIL! (kinda)

That pretty much sums it up. Thanks for checkin' in!!

Wow...What a day!

Today was one of those days where I feel like I accomplished SO much! Besides doing laundry, sweeping & mopping the floors, dusting, cleaning the bathroom, going grocery shopping, and finally getting a screen for our fireplace (who knew they only sold those seasonally) I also got some projects done. The first being an end table my mother in law got us right after we got married. Its a good quality table but I really needed something to hold the TV in Hadley's playroom so she can watch movies in there. Here is what it looked like.
First I sanded it. Mainly because while we were painting Hadley's bedroom Andrew painted a chunk of it and I didn't want the paint to lay uneven. This is just the basic Black & Decker square sander.
Then I chose to spray paint it so I wouldn't have all the streaks from a paint brush. This is Valspar Summer Leaf.
Ta-da! Before going into the room.
In place. Excuse the window frames I still have to paint those. Just pretend they're already white.
My other project was to start decorating for fall, hooray! I know its not official, but I got the okay from Andrew so I ran with it.
We'll start in the dining room.Living room...Mantel...Kitchen...Also, while grocery shopping I was thinking of how picky of an eater Hadley is. Some of you moms probably have lots of secrets, that I would love to hear (please post), but I thought I would share a couple meals that she will actually eat and that are pretty healthy.
1.) Velveeta Spirals w/ broccoli (macaroni but its has veggies)
2.) Campbell's Select Chicken & Vegetable (I heat it up then poor out the broth and she LOVES it)
3.) Rotisserie Chicken ($3-$4 at Wal-Mart: I cut it up and she'll eat it for lunch or dinner and really enjoys it)
If you have any other helpful food ideas PLEASE post them I would love to give her a little more variety. =)
Thanks for checkin' in!
