T.G.I.F. Favorites

The weekly recap . . .

My favorite place EVER to get my oil changed, Don Carlton. They had everything: a play area for kids, coffee, recliners, and a theater room. Amazing!

A couple of my favorite Hadley quotes from the week:
"I's jumpinin!"
"Its rainin... outside!"
(with extra emphasis on the "outside")

My favorite picture of Hadley from this week:

My favorite Hadley break through:
Hadley as you know can count. Well, as of this past weekend she has started associating the counting with objects. For example, tonight at dinner she grabbed the jelly off the table and began counting them. Last weekend she counted the sticks in the triangle game at Cracker Barrel.

My favorite random acquirement:
Hadley has started marching around the house and when she does she lets you know by yelling, "I marchinin, I marchinin!" I say this is random because neither Andrew nor myself have taught her about marching. I guess she picked it up in Bible class.

Most favorite Mother's Day gift EVER!!!

My favorite zoo trip of the year so far. The weather was perfect, Hadley was excited about all the animals, and it wore her out to the point she took a 2+ hour nap.
I would love to hear any funny stories or favorite things about your past week!

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Here's What I'm loving:

I'm loving that finals start next week, meaning Andrew only has 12 days left of school, WOOHOO!

I'm loving that we will be checking into our Disney resort in T-minus 14days, 16hrs and 46mins.

I'm loving that we've had 2 absolutely beautiful days in a row!

I'm loving, but also not loving, that my little girl is turning 2 on Saturday.

I'm loving that my girls trip is now in the radar with only 1 month, 18 days and 16 hrs till we check into our Gulf Shores condo!

I'm loving my $16.99 Walgreens brand whitening strips. I usually do an at home whitening thing every year. (Usually Christmas because the Crest mouthwash, strips and toothpaste kit goes on sale for $25) Well this year they didn't do it, probably because its an awesome deal. Well I had a coupon for $10 off so I thought I'll go get one. Ummm.... They are $45!!!! Needless to say I didn't care about getting $10 off, I wasn't getting it. Then I was at Walgreens and saw their's were on sale for $16.99. I didn't know if they would be that great but I tried them and I have NO regrets!!

I'm loving Spring cleaning. I'm in full cleaning mode and its crazy how much deep cleaning was really needed. =/

I'm loving my awesome early Mother's Day gift from my daughter and husband. A dozen BEAUTIFUL flowers!
What are you loving?

Zoo Date!

So today we had a zoo date with "Baby Hadley" and her momma.

The Hadleys before heading into the zoo.

Mommy & Hadley

Hadley LOVED the elephant. As soon as we got to the exhibit Hadley asked to get out and ran right up to the viewing deck.

I also had a hard time pulling her away from the penguin exhibit today. She is absolutely obsessed with water and even though the penguins were cool she just kept yelling, "Water, water!"

"That little guy, oh I wouldn't worry about that little guy."
So while heading to the front of the zoo we pass several security people as well as several zoo keepers with nets. At first I thought these monkeys had gotten out of their habitat and they were trying to catch them, but then I saw a sign with their info on it. Jessica then asked the security guard what was going on to which he responded, "I'm sorry I can't tell you that." Creepy!!!!

Shortly after that weirdness we arrived at the chimps. One of the babies threw a t-shirt over his head and started jumping around, then jumped right in front of where Hadley was standing and said, "Ooh, ooh!" I think she was star struck because she didn't really respond, ha!
Later, this big guy sat down right in front of her and just stared. Again, Hadley was unfazed.

To wrap up we rode the train. While we waited Hadley ran up and down the bench to burn off some extra energy.
Embarrassing Zoo Moment:
So as I mentioned earlier we had to wait for the next train to arrive. As the train pulled in Hadley got really excited. I began gathering our things and looking for our tickets when I hear Hadley yell, "Dora, Dora!!!" I look up expecting to see a Dora lunchbox, backpack, or t-shirt, but regrettably what I actually looked up to see was a little Hispanic girl with a blue backpack getting off the train, "AHHH!!!" I quickly start to shoosh her and explain that she is NOT Dora in hopes that she stops yelling before anyone else notices. I unfortunately think this is just the beginning to a long chain of embarrassing moments.

The Past few Days

Yesterday was a full day of grocery shopping, cleaning and randomness and I loved it!

Hadley started the day with grabbing two of my body spray bottles and switched the lids back and forth for a good 5-10 minutes.
My beautiful baby before going to Wal-Mart.
The outfit couldn't have been complete without the monkey rain boots.

TODAY
A girlfriend came over to help me make the monkey faces for the cupcakes. We made the faces out of molding chocolate, which is made from 1 package white chocolate chips, light Karo syrup and the colors you want to dye it with.
Microwave chocolate 1 minute at a time. Once melted, add coloring. When you have reached your desired coloring add 1/3 cup Karo for every one package of chips used.
Once you've added your Karo it will start getting hard. Flatten out the chocolate and refrigerate until completely firm. Remove from refrigerator and handle until chocolate become manipulable and form into your design.
It taste like a tootsie roll!
The faces.
(I'm planning to pipe the rest of the face on after its been placed on the cupcake.)

After nap we went out to play on this beautiful day. Hadley had a few musts in order to go outside: "Princess" (headband), bear, fox, raccoon, 1 plate to her tea set, and her turtle slippers. (I have no idea.)
I enjoyed some of this while Hadley played.

This evening I went to a dinner for SAA to send off the seniors and initiate new officers. Tonight I was initiated as SAA's new secretary.
While I was at dinner, Hadley and Andrew worked on a special Mother's Day gift for me. (I had no idea they were doing this.) My wonderful husband did such a great job taking pictures during the process and here they are.

I know its early but we have lots of craziness going on this weekend and Andrew just couldn't wait. Can you blame him? They did such a great job!!!

Weekend Update!

Before we went out of town for the weekend I needed to get an oil change in my car. We took it to the dealerships new location and it was an awesome set up. They had this cool playroom for the little kids. They also had a room with nice tables and vending machines so you could bring your lunch, a THEATER ROOM (no lie), and all the other chairs were comfy leather recliners. To top it all off they had complimentary coffee, bottled water, and donuts!

FRIDAY
We had lunch with some friends at Cantina Laredo friday on the patio to enjoy some beautiful sunshine!

After lunch I went to visit my friend Melanie. She's doing great and so are the babies incase you have been wondering. Hadley and I brought her a Sonic slush and just chit chatted and watched a bit of the Royal Wedding.

Friday night Hadley and Addy had a girls night with CeCe & PJ (Pajee)
Friday night we had a wonderful dinner with Josh and Ashley and it was so much fun!

SATURDAY
Saturday we celebrated Trey's 5th birthday at The Fun Factory in Cabot!!
Lots of fun was had!
And lots of yummy Toy Story cake was had as well!!

After the party we headed back to PJ and CeCe's house to play some more, while the boys played a round of golf. When they got back J.O. went to put his clubs in Tamra's car to find this...
(The car locked with the keys still inside, haha!!!)

Addy & Tamra challenged Andrew to a pick up game before heading home in CeCe's car.

Sunday
Today we had an amazing lunch at Andrew's grandparents house and then headed back to T-Town as quick as possible because the roads were beginning to close due to rising water.

Signs such as these were marking some of the roads. I laughed so hard when I saw these because.... Well, DUH!!!!!!!

The trip started going about like this.
and then like this....
So we decided it was a good time to do this...
(Cracker Barrel BABY!)

Finally we arrived safe and sound. It was a rough/long ride home but nothing a little oreos, milk, and ice cream couldn't help. =)

We also drove through Vilonia, AR on our way home and I couldn't help but cry just looking around. There were so many homes destroyed and they can't get a break. As we were driving through it was pouring rain and people were still trying to get their homes covered.
Please pray for these families as well as ALL the other families involved in all these tornados.
