New Jessie & Updates

Well let me first start by saying we had an AMAZING weekend, but I left my camera in Rogers so I'll have to update you on that later when she returns.  =(

Last Thursday before we left for our LONG weekend, Hadley had a surprise waiting for her after school.

She was SO excited when she saw her.  She looked at me and said, "Mommy, you found her.  You found Jessie!"

We took her for a lap around Lafortune and then to the park to play.

They were two peas in a pod.
When we left the park Hadley said, "Mommy this is Jessie.  Not Jessie Doll, just Jessie."  "Jessie Doll" is what she called the "other" Jessie.  If you call this one Jessie Doll, she WILL correct you.

We left that evening for our long weekend (the boys had a TON of tests this week) and came back Monday night.  I'll fill you in on all those happenings later.

Tuesday after school Hadley, Jessie and I made a lap around Lafortune and then headed to the play area.

Yesterday, Hadley and I got to watch the Robins kiddos for a little bit.
Miss Aubrey was a jewel!!

Showing Jai ALL her stuffed animals.

Last night we kicked off our annual SAA fundraiser for Oktoberfest. It was a bit chilly, but SO much fun!
I love these girls!

I have the original iphone, which is now ancient and doesn't have a flash, so I had to improvise, ha!

I guess it worked, except you can hardly see Apryl's face.
We made $865 the first night, WOOHOO!!!

Tonight is our women's Bible study and I can't wait.  We're studying Crazy Love, by Francis Chan, and it is wonderful!!  I definitely recommend.

Lose It

This past week I decided to actually use the "Lose It" app on my phone, which I've had for 2 years.  I'm not necessarily trying to lose a lot of weight (not that I'm going to fight it if it happens), but more so to make some lifestyle changes.
This app has you put in all your intakes and outputs (exercise) and keeps you updated on what calories you've taken in and how many you've burned. (The nice thing is this app has pretty much every food you can think of and their calories as well as ALL kinds of exercise.)
Since I've started I've been much more conscious about what I put in just because I don't want to have to enter it into my log if its a higher calorie food.  But if I do eat something with more calories I can also figure out how much activity I have to do to counter act it.

I have several inspirations for doing this.
#1- Is for myself to give me more energy.
#2-My sister has also done an amazing job the last month or so and has dropped 12 lbs!!!  I'm SO proud of her and her dedication!
And lastly, and more vainly, I would love for my legs to look like that of Carrie Underwood's, ha!

Unfortunately when I work out my legs tend to gain more bulk muscle instead of lean muscle and they look more like that of Serena Williams.
(Not that she has bad legs.  Its just I'm not a professional tennis player.)

So far I've been doing pretty good and I can already notice a difference in the way I feel.  I'll keep you updated.  =)

Bubbles, Boys and... Bobas?

Though many times I thought I wouldn't, I actually survived yesterday's battles with my 2 year old.
This morning we met some friends for story time at the library.

Fun was had by all!  =)

Jai found a new lady friend.

The highlight of story time is definitely the "Bye-Bye Bubbles."

The Robins having some family story time.

After the library we went and picked up lunch for all our boys and brought it to the school for a group lunch date.  The kids played and we all talked.  I think it was great for the boys to de-stress a bit.  Over the next 8 school days they have 5 tests!!!

When we got home Hadley took a 2 hour nap!!!!!
This was great for both of us.  =)

Tonight's Dinner:
Pineapple Jerk Chicken, over wild rice and corn on the cob.

After church we made our usual Cherry Berry stop.  It's so funny, all Hadley talks about when she gets out of bible class is ice cream, yet once we get there all she wants are Bobas (fruit juice filled balls). Tonight they had strawberry and it matched her outfit.  =)

Shakin' Bakin' Tuesday!!

This morning, before school, Hadley was not in the best of moods.  She was having a hard time finding Jessie and her wildlife animals (all must haves on the ride to school) when I took this picture.
Little did she know the turmoil this day would bring to her poor Jessie doll.

After I picked Hadley up from school it was absolutely gorgeous outside.  I thought it would be fun to have a little mommy daughter date to Utica Square, walk around, and go into some of the stores.  This will be a day that will go down in history for the worst my daughter has EVER behaved.  It was one thing after another and I was mortified to the point of tears, so..... we left.

When we got to the car Hadley asked for her "Jessie Doll" and she (Jessie) was no where in sight.  I looked back from where we had walked and didn't see her, then I tried driving around some of the places we had gone and still didn't see her.  All I could hear in my head was Jessie's Song from Toy Story 2, "When She Loved Me."

Before we went home I had to make a quick stop into Neighborhood Market.  When I went to get the dressing I turned to find Hadley dragging bags of apples across the floor, yelling "They too heavy!"  Then she was running around like a crazy person grabbing EVERY fruit/vegetable she saw.  I brilliantly thought I didn't need a basket/cart therefore I have no free hands when I see her taking a bite out of a plum she has just picked up off the shelf.  REALLY?!  I seriously was in tears and headed to the check-out where the handle on my rotisserie chicken broke and chicken juice went all over the floor.  Hadley was too busy asking the lady behind us in line for a ring pop to even notice, but I was a hot mess.

I finally got my stuff together and headed home where Hadley was greeted by her time out mat.  And she was not aloud to participate in tonight's baking activity.
Harsh...maybe.

After time out Hadley went into cleaning mode.

My amazing husband went searching through Utica Square before coming home, but still no "Jessie Doll."

Tonight's Dinner:
Berry Salad
(Spring mix, rotisserie chicken, strawberries, blueberries, cashews and poppyseed dressing)

Today's Activity:
Banana Bread

A LONG Weekend Update!

WEDNESDAY
My brother decided to come over from Rogers for his first visit since we moved to OK.  He didn't get into town until a little later so we had plenty of time to pass.

(Recycled diaper wipe container, makes for a great sidewalk chalk container.)

Swinging's another good way to pass it.
All the waiting and Hadley was asleep when he got in. =(

THURSDAY
The game of life was tons of fun.  I haven't laughed that hard in a while.
Jonathan was supporting 3 kids and a wife on a teachers salary that capped at $60,000 and inflation is RIDICULOUS on this game! I had 2 sets of twins, all boys.  Andrew was married with no children and ultimately lost the game.  We told him he should have taken the family track, ha!

FRIDAY
Hadley and Uncle Willie building a cabin together before he left.

Friday night Mimi, Pap-pa and Audrey came in town.  The girls had a "sleepover" on a pallet in the floor but not before posing and showing off their pretty shoes.

SATURDAY
Jolene and Ryan came in on Saturday morning.  We went to breakfast at Tally's and then we all headed to the FAIR.

First stop, HORSES!

*Pony Rides*

*Tilt-a-Whirl*

*CAROUSEL*

SUNDAY
We went to church and then Andrew spent the rest of the day studying.
It was pretty uneventful.
