Tulsa State Fair....HOLLA!!!!

So this weekend my sister (Jolene) and brother-in-law (Ryan) came into town with their little girl, Audrey. Audrey and Hadley have so much fun playing together. When they got in Friday night they were both so excited to see each
other they couldn't help but play for an extra 30 minutes before heading to bed. Saturday morning we got up the girls had waffles and the rest of us had monkey bread while the girls watched The Little Mermaid and colored. AFter the girls' naps it was off to the fair!!!

ANIMALS
(Giant horses & pigs, and of course the petting zoo)

FUN
(Tulsa's largest sandbox & pony rides)

FOOD
(Turkey legs, corndog, fried Twinkies & oreos, and the Krispy Kreme Burger)

PRIZES

We had so much fun this weekend! Now we have to fast for the next week to counteract all the ridiculous food we put into our bodies. =(

Power of Prayer!

This might seem weird because I really don't know this family at all, but I really can't imagine what they are going through. A friend of mine posted this blog on her facebook status this morning asking for prayers.

Although they have already lost so much, the power of prayer can still do amazing things for this family. Just to give them strength through this hard time. I pray that you all will take just a short moment (or more) out of your day and pray for this family!!! Pin It

Hadley's 17 Months!

This morning Hadley got into her stickers and put them all over her shirt. Shortly after I looked and she didn't have any stickers on her shirt and I then began to find them in different places around living room, like in between the couch cushions . Silly girl!
Happy 17th month, Hadley Marie!!!! Hadley's most recent accomplishment is being able to point out certain body parts from left to right, top to bottom: Nose, Eye, Ear, Mouth, just a smile, Teeth, Toes, Knee. She can also point out her shoulders and fingers but wouldn't do it for the camera.
Tonights dinner Penne Pizza. If you start in the bottom left hand corner and work your way around clockwise that is the order in which the steps are done. The middle being the finished product.
Note: This is pretty much a made up recipe so nothing is exact and a lot of times it just consists of what I have in my pantry/fridge. I've also noted certain ingredients which can be omitted to save time. This is one of Andrew & Hadley's favorites!
1. Ingredients: 13x9" pan, 1-2 jars spaghetti sauce, green onions, whole grain penne pasta, turkey pepperoni, 2c package Italian blend cheese, *turkey sausage, *bell pepper, green onion, *1/2 purple onion, *handful of baby carrots.
*These don't have to be added if you're wanting to save time due to the fact it is a lot of extra chopping and cooking. I tend to add more vegetables because its a sneaky way to get them to eat them.
2. Chop veggies finely.
3. Brown meat and bring water to boiling for penne pasta. (Cook pasta as directed on box.)
4. Add veggies to meat cook till tender. (I also added a spoon full of minced garlic & some Cavender's seasoning.)
5. Pour veggies/meat in large bowl together: add 1 jar spaghetti sauce, some cheese, and pasta
6. Pour 1/2 pasta mix in bottom of 13x9" pan. If you are using a 2nd jar of sauce pour a small amount over mix (I like extra sauce that way the pasta doesn't come out dry.) layer cheese and pepperoni.
7. Repeat pasta/meat mix, extra sauce, then pepperoni, and top with cheese.
8. I bake at 385* for about 30m or until golden and bubbly. ENJOY!!!

"Sorry..."

Today didn't consist of much but I do need to brag on my AMAZING daughter. So one of the things Hadley and I did today was run to Hobby Lobby. When we were checking out Hadley was helping the lady bag our items. She was putting in a can of spray paint and missed and it made a really loud noise when it hit the counter. Shortly after, Hadley, unprompted said, "Sorry." I was so proud, both the cashier and myself assured her it was okay since it was an accident. The cashier was so impressed. YAY HADLEY!!
Her attitude today might have been inspired by the Pumpkin Pie PopTarts she had for breakfast.
Today's Halloween Outfit: "Spooky"
Workin' it...
Here are a couple small projects I've done this week.
We got Hadley's name put up in her room, Andrew helped with this one.
Today, I made Hadley's trick-or-treat bucket. (Still waiting for her name and trick-or-treat decals to come in, man I need a cricut!)
I got a little more work done on my big project. I really want to finish it soon, I'm so excited about it. Keep reading and hopefully I'll have it posted in the next week.

Funfetti Brownies!

Of course you know, I love fall. There are 2 main things during fall which make it my favorite: Halloween & Thanksgiving! Now that its October I can do all those Halloweeny things I've been wanting to do but Andrew keeps telling me its too early for. #1 Dress Hadley up and #2 ....well maybe it was just dress Hadley up. =) So the past few days I've had her in a Halloweeny outfit and today we did a Halloween baking craft, Halloween Funfetti Brownies made into Halloween shapes.
Here are some of Hadley's outfits from the past few days.
Last Friday: "So cute its scary!"
Saturday: Pumpkin shirt for the pumpkin patch.
Sunday: You can't see it but there's a ghost on her shirt and it says, "Boo..tiful"
Today: "Wickedly Cute"
FUNFETTI BROWNIES
Don't worry the blender was NOT turned on.
Ghost, bat, cat, pumpkin, and 2 witches
Hadley found her swimmer diapers in one of her drawers today and started trying to put them on. Needless to say I helped her with the task, she kept them on until bedtime.
Hadley and I had such a great day. I was also able to start working on a couple projects that I'll be posting about soon, so keep reading!

October Weekend Fun!!!

This weekend was so much fun and SO busy!!! We went to Rogers to spend some time with my family and go to the Heritage v. Rogers football game. Andrew had a big test today, so we drove separate so he could go home when we left the game. The girls had a blast at the game. They did spend a little time in the stands but they clocked most of it running up and down the hill. Saturday morning we at breakfast at Chick-fil-A with Uncle Ryan, Aunt Jo, Audrey, Mimi, and Pap-pa, then it was off to the mall. (I got Hadley's Halloween costume!) After the mall it was nap time and then the most AMAZING Pumpkin Patch.
Before we left on friday I heard Hadley in her playroom grunting only to go in and find her on top of her shelves. She had pushed her little table next to it to help her climb up.
THE GAME!!!

SATURDAY MORNING
PUMPKIN PATCH!!
The slides...

Hay Tunnel...
Cow ride...
Tire swings...
Waiting for the hayride.
HAYRIDE!
Hadley thought this goat was so funny, because it kept jumping on and off the bucket.
Hadley picked out her pumpkin.
We really enjoyed getting to spend some time with my family and Hadley really did have a blast at the pumpkin patch. I can't believe its already October, HOORAY!!
