Just Another Wednesday

My sweet girl eating breakfast and watching her Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
Love her!

Hadley and I went to the gym this morning and there's a Hobby Lobby next door, so . . .
She was such a big helper and today the purse was a must.

After the gym we made a Sonic run.
Look at that sweet smile!

When we got home I worked on SEVERAL projects and wrecked my house, which I'll show later. (Not the mess just the crafts.)

Tonight's Dinner:
Chicken Stir Fry
(I actually think we had this last Wednesday too, I should probably put more diversity in ours meals.)

*PROJECTS*
My little handy man. It was just peel and stick, but still handy no less.
I have another 8x8 picture of Hadley going on the other side.

*Hadley's Room*
Well the bleeding on the bedding was a very sad moment for me but once they told me I would get my refund I was quickly cheered up. She has had red and black as her main colors since her nursery, but I'm changing it up and I'm super excited about it.
The inspiration . . .
Pottery Barn's Daisy Garden Collection
Minor project
Changing the once black ribbon to pink. I am also getting rid of the sconces and I already have a plan for what to put there.
Goodbye ladybugs!
Hello framed bow holder! I will also be adding 3 pink crystal knobs to the bottom and I'll be replacing the nail with one as well.
(Tutorial to come be checking back.)
The canvas I painted just 2 weeks ago.
To this patchwork board.
(Tutorial also to come.)
My dad is also making some shutters out of old barn wood to go on either side.
I am having so much fun crafting up Hadley's new room. I guess it was just meant to be.

Thanks for checkin' in!!

Loving My Life!

Well as usual the last few days have been relatively busy, so I'm taking this time to relax and write it all down. =)
(Oh and Hadley and I will be postponing our Shakin' Bakin' Tuesday activity until Thursday again, as we will be taking cookies up to the school on Friday in celebration of the first test week of the semester being over.)

Sunday, we went to church and had lunch with some friends. And afterwards the rest of my day consisted of:
This . . .
. . . and this
With brief moments of entertainment by Hadley.

Monday was more of the above, with a Hobby Lobby run, Wal-Mart trip, a family walk, and some cleaning. One of the things cleaned was Hadley's comforter, which bled in the wash. Which I washed in COLD, by itself, and with an Oxi-Clean-Max Force tab. I was super bummed.
But I was quickly cheered up when Hadley wanted to try on her Razorback Cheerleading outfit and CALL THE HOGS!!

Today I got up and first thing called the company I got Hadley's bedding from. Good news, they're giving me a refund!! I just have to send it back so they can verify it did infact bleed. With all that said I have started looking for new bedding and I am going with a new color scheme for Hadley's room. I'm so excited and I have several projects I've already started that I'll be blogging about soon.

After the phone call and a little victory dance Hadley and I met up with some friends for a swim date.
This was Miss Aubrey's first time to go swimming!

After swimming we had to make another Hobby Lobby run for the week to get some of the final touches for Sunday & Monday's crafting. Then we headed home to start dinner.

My little blue eyed blonde, playing with some ribbon.
"CHEESE!"

While I was trying to get dinner finished I put in Tangled for Hadley to watch, she then decided the best place to watch was from the kitchen table. Such a mess!
After the movie was over she came into the dining room with one of Andrew's shirts over her head and said she was Mother Gothel, ha!

Tonight's Dinner:
Homemade Butternut Squash Soup and Grown-Up Grilled Cheese Sandwiches
(I will be posting the sandwiches to the blog soon.)

After dinner Hadley brought one of her diapers into the dining room and started sticking it on her face.
Meet Miss Diaper Beard!

After dinner I also finished my project, yay!! This is for a sweet little girl who's turning 2 with a Nemo themed birthday. Happy early birthday Miss Addi!
Few... I think I'm off to bed.

Jonathan's Lake Party

Happy Birthday Baby Jonathan!!

Friday my little brother turned 25 so Saturday we headed to the lake to celebrate.
We made the boys take the backseat on the way out.

Hadley was so excited as we walked out to the dock.

The girls took a turn driving.
Andrew and Hadley spent some time cuddling on the boat.

Just relaxing and enjoying the beautiful weather.

*The Siblings*

Of course there were cupcakes.

And SWIMMING!!

The girls drying off on our drive back to the dock.

My sweet Hadley Marie.
A great day on the lake!

Back-to-School Playdate!

Well school is back in session and so are our SAA playgroups. We had an out & about playgroup last week and this week everyone came over to my house for a back-to-school themed playdate. We had a whopping 25 people and it was a blast.

Lots of goodies
Krispy Treat, cookies (sugar & choco chip), mini pigs in a blanket, tailgate sandwiches, pinwheel sandwiches, chips, m&ms, fruit

A little bit of dress up.

Lots of catching up.
And we actually had some outside playtime since it wasn't 106*.

After our playdate we picked up and headed to my parents to celebrate my baby brother's 25th birthday.

Hadley climbed up on the table and was being super cute before we left.
I'll be updating on Jonathan's birthday fun later, so check back.

A Belated Shakin' Bakin' Tuesday!

So this is obviously not Tuesday. We postponed our Shakin' Bakin' Tuesday activity till Thursday so we could make goodies for the playgroup we were hosting on Friday. Then I didn't post about it Thursday so here we are. =)

Baking Activity
Rice Krispy Treats

Ingredients:

One AWESOME little helper!
And of course your 6 cups rice cereal, bag of marshmallows, 1/2 stick butter.
And to add some pazazz, SPRINKLES and cookie cutters!!

Here's What you Do:
1. Melt butter on low heat, once melted add marshmallows.
2. Melt completely, remove from heat and add cereal, stir.
3. Add SPRINKLES and mix till combined.
4. Dump into greased 13x9 pan or on wax paper if using cookie cutters.
5. Once cooled cut your shapes. Our playgroup was a Back-to-School theme so we did stars and apples. (Well, actually pumpkins, because apparently I don't have an apple and I figured they were a close enough resemblance.)
YUM!!!
