Catching Up

SUNDAY
We went to church, but only services, because I underestimated how productive I am without Andrew at home.
Then was lunch and some shopping. I'm trying to get a head start on Hadley's fall wardrobe as she is almost the same size as Audrey this year, meaning no hand me downs. =(
The rest of the day we just hung out and had some girl time.

MONDAY
I got a lot done.
Unloaded and reloaded dishwasher. (Twice) I know a bit out of control.
Did 4 loads of laundry (again OUT OF CONTROL) including folding and putting away, picked up around the house, took Jake and Hadley for a walk (it was finally nice enough), and brought dinner to a family at church with a new baby.

Hadley concentrating really hard on her coloring on our way home from dropping off dinner.
(Don't worry we were at a stop light.)

TUESDAY
We spent the day at Big Splash!!

All geared up and ready to go.

She had a BLAST!
The dinosaur she's sliding down was a big deal. She tried several times before and just couldn't do it.
She did all the other slides but would get 2 steps up this one and start crying. Finally I asked her what was wrong. She said she was scared. When I asked why she said, "It's dirty." That's my girl!!
If you look at the picture in the middle you can see why she was so fearful, ha!
Taking a break for a little picnic lunch and then back out for more swimming and slides.

WEDNESDAY
Today has been craziness. This morning we left our house at 9:45 to get the oil changed when that turned into also needing a new set of tires. We knew it was coming but still we were there till 12:45.
While we were there we wrote out the alphabet and Hadley was able to identify:
E, I, L, O, P, S, T, Y

Hadley passing the time.

Then it was lunch at Chick-A-Flick (aka Chick-fil-A).

Instead of playing at the play-place, which was craziness, we went to the park and played on one of the shaded gyms.

After playing for a bit and sweating ALOT, it was time for my doctor's appointment.
Then home which was about 4:15.
Where has the day gone?
Now we're just taking a breather before we leave again for church and our Cherry Berry rendezvous.

Show Us Your Life {Marriage Advice}

I love this guy!!
I'm linking up with Kelly's Korner SUYL Friday.

*Talk...Talk...and Talk Some More*
I think most of the time when Andrew and I have arguements it has to do with not communicating very well.

Get dressed up and have some alone time.

Make family time.
If you do have children remember you're not just man and wife you're also mom & dad.

Remember you're never too old to build a fort and watch a movie in it. =)

Support each others dreams!

NEVER be too serious, its just not as much fun.

Have some time with your friends.
Let him have time with his.

Always remember the couple that prays together stays together.
Andrew gave a toast at one of our friends wedding's about making your life a triangle. Each spouse is the bottom corner with God as the top. As you become closer to God you also become closer together.
(Or something like that (ha), but you get the picture.)

Aquarium Fun

Andrew has yet to go to the Oklahoma Aquarium so we headed out today to have the family experience.

"And I will call squishy and you will be mine. You will be my squishy."

Some of the gang from Nemo.

Feeding the turtles.

The sting rays were in a good mood today. They kept waving everytime they swam by.

Sweetness!!

We also walked through the shark tunnel but all me pictures were really dark. =(

T.G.I.F. Favorites!

This week has been pretty exciting although I haven't posted much about it.
(Sorry about that.)

Here are my favorites of the week:

Favorite Event:
Girls Night Out with dinner and a movie. I had so much fun hanging out with my med school mommies before the boys head back to school.

Favorite Dinner with the Fam:
Andrew and Hadley tried out Zio's for the first time and loved it. Hadley was so funny all through dinner. She kept laughing so hard at the most random things and the little girl at the table beside us just loved it.

For dessert we went to Kupcakz and "shared" a Lemon Drop and Dirty Blonde.
Hadley pretty much owned the Lemon Drop.

Least Favorite Event but Most Favorite Picture:
We took Hadley to the Urgent Care clinic by our house because she was jumping on the bed, lost her balance, then fell and hit her head REALLY hard on the edge. It made an immediate bump. =( She turned out to be fine, despite her giant goose-egg and probably a pretty good headache, but we had to make sure.

Favorite Hadley Quotes:
I like your [insert object], [insert name].
So far Hadley has told me many times she likes my princess (headband), rubberband, earrings, necklace, watch, shirt and dress. Honestly I'm really enjoying this.

[Insert Name] you okay?!
Hadley repeats this after anyone sneezes, coughs or makes any noise resembling some type of distress until you tell her, "Yes I'm okay."

Favorite Event:
Andrew's parents came in for the evening on Wednesday, so we took them to Joe Momma's for some fabulous pizza. While we were waiting as well as while we were eating we would hop over to the window you see behind us and watch them toss the pizza dough. One of the guys gave Hadley her own pizza dough to toss while we watched.
So much fun!!

Favorite Snack Food:
I know it sounds weird to have lime on your popcorn but believe me when I say,
"It's so good!!"
And its good for you! =)
Milestone Favorite:
Getting a tour of where The Hadster will be going to school (aka MDO) this fall.

Belated Weekend Update

FRIDAY
We dropped off the Hadster with my sister so she could spend the weekend with Audrey and then we headed to Jasper, AR for a weekend on the Buffalo with friends. For those of you who don't know what a pig trail is this (although blurry) was a picture of our GPS. Several of our turns were almost a complete "V."
Let me also note the sign right before we got to this part read, "Steep and Whinedy for the next 14 Miles." BOOO!!!
I, as I think I've said in past posts, get EXTREMELY carsick, but I think I found an antidote this trip. When it started getting really bad I popped in some old school Britney, BSB and N'Sync turned it up and belted it out and I didn't really get sick! It also helped that it was pretty dark outside too.
We got there around 9:30 and some of the Harry Potter fans (Mia & Ash) gave each other tattoos in excitement for the release of Deathly Hallows: Part II, ha.

Those of us who didn't already have feathers got to pick some out.
Thanks Jeanette!
(I apologize for the awkward face I wasn't sure what to do.)
I have the bronze colored one but I also have a thin yellow and black one that you can't really see in this picture.
We enjoyed some entertainment from Keith with some reverse grip push-ups.
*Me and Ash*
And of course it wouldn't be complete without a game of Catch Phrase!

SATURDAY
We started the morning with breakfast at this diner in Jasper. Although the service was just okay the food was pretty good, especially their chocolate (yes, CHOCOLATE) gravy.
After breakfast we headed back the cabin to change and head out to the river. Unfortunately it was too low to canoe so we just swam. And I really say unfortunately because swimming in river water kinda creeps me out. Against my better judgement (and because I didn't want to sit by myself) I went swimming and incase you're wondering when I got out I did infact have BROWN water dripping off my bathing suit, AHHH!!
With the effort of Scott and Mia we had an amazing dinner. Which was followed by some creepy ghost stories, yes we are in 7th grade.

Meanwhile in Bentonville . . .
Hadley started her day at the splash pad off the downtown square.
After nap Jolene and Ryan took the girls to see the new Winnie the Pooh movie and then came home to make cookies, too much fun!!

SUNDAY
Scott made biscuits and his AMAZING sausage gravy and Evan made some delicious french toast to give us all the energy to make our drives home. It was such a fun weekend, can't wait till next year!!!

MONDAY
I have no pictures, but the morning was pretty simple and that night I had a night out with my girls. We went to Fish Daddy's for dinner and then watched Larry Crowne.
I had so much fun!
