Halloween/October Madness

The last week has gone mostly undocumented, but definitely not for a lack of activities.  Here's what us Norman girls have been up to.

Last Tuesday was school pictures for Hadley's pre-K class.
No words...
I also made Hadley's much requested Pumpkin Fairy costume.

Then, we did some baking to bring to the students, at OSU, the next day.

 Pumpkin Cookies and Funfetti Brownies
 ***
Wednesday, I had a regular OB appointment, then lunch with friends.

After picking up Hads from school, I started on her boxcar for the drive-in at school.

We also got this sweet delivery from my awesome husband.  He may be in Ohio but he still spoils us.
***
Halloween mani/pedi on Friday before Spook-O-Ween.

The Student Advocate Association puts on a Halloween carnival every year for the students, faculty and their families at the school.
This year Cece made it for Spook-O-Ween.
This was a game Hadley made up called, "Rocks."
***
Saturday, we didn't do much. Hadley and I worked on her car, I took Jake to the groomers and Hadley showed off some of her gymnastic skills to Cece.
***
Sunday after church was Oliver's first shower.  A few of the girls in our Sunday morning Bible class hosted and it was wonderful.

Some of the fun decorations...

The hostesses...

The family...

These girls were excited about cake and "Oliver Punch."

They were also great helpers when it came to opening the gifts.

 All the goodies...
There's a bag in the background that is strictly clothes and it was full. So blessed!!

After dropping off the shower goodies at home, we changed clothes and headed back up to church for Trunk of Treats.
***
Monday night we did HallowZOOween!!!

Costume Fashion Show!
Rosie Bumps N' Bruises (LalaLoopsy)
Princesses!!

After Hads went to bed I started on Thank You cards.  Despite hand cramps you just can't help but feel blessed!! =)
 ***
Tuesday, I had another appointment for Oliver and followed it up by lunch with friends. An overall fun afternoon.
 Hadley also had her drive-in.
While we worked on her car for several days I'll give you the run down of pictures.

TOO CUTE!!!
 ***
Hadley and I played hooky on Wednesday, rainy days are perfect for that.  We had a date at Chick-a-flick (which note is NOT busy when it's pouring rain outside), ran some errands and then worked on a couple things for Oliver.
***
Today was Hadley's fall party, costume parade and trick or treating with the church staff.

Giant Cookie Cakes!!

Miss Rosie Bumps N' Bruises, high on sugar!

I feel like I need to hibernate.

*CONFESSIONS*
Reasons Why I'm a Horrible Single Mom:
#1- All the bills have been paid late this month. (Luckily Andrew has the mortgage set up as an automatic withdrawal.  If not it's possible Hadley and I may have been evicted over the last 2 months of him not being around when the bills come in.)
#2- I can't fix stuff. (Dryer repair people are coming Saturday. It's been a while since we've done laundry, yikes.)
#3- I get cranky.  Today I had to call about our insurance because since we switched in August our new one has been giving me a headache, because we're still not covered.  (Due to a problem with their mailing system and not responding to emails.) I may have revealed this so-called crankiness when I talked to them this morning and this afternoon.  =/  Good news is we're now covered!!
#4- My house is a disaster. Partially because of the no laundry thing.
#5- My child has eaten a lot of cereal for dinner. (It's hard to cook for 2 when one is only 4 y/o.)
#6- I thought I was so on the ball because after drop off today I got the drinks for Hadley's class party this afternoon.  I dropped the ball in that I TOTALLY forgot the costume parade they do at the beginning of the day.  Thankfully I had a few friends take pictures and even a video of Hadley.  *FAIL*
#7- We are not going Trick or Treating tonight.  I'm tired and honestly I don't think Hadley even knows today is Halloween.  When we went to HallowZOOween the other day Hadley actually said, "It's Halloween again?"  Instead we're going to order It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown and stay home.

Ready for Andrew to be home!!

Thanks for checkin' in!!

Bump Date: 31 Weeks

This is what you get on a rainy day.
How far along:
31 weeks

Size of baby:
Coconut
(He measured 3 lbs. 13 oz. at our appointment today.  While the rest of his body measured right on time his head is measuring at 34 weeks.  The sonographer actually asked if I passed my glucose test, ha.)

Maternity Clothes:
I can wear workout pants and some dresses, but the rest are maternity.

Gender:
It's a BOY!!!

Baby Boy's Name:
Oliver Gammill
Oliver- after my Great Grandmother Olive / Gammill (like camel with a 'G')- Andrew's mom's maiden name, as well as Andrew's middle name

Movement:
Yes!
Little man is very active these days and I love it.  He definitely has his active times, which don't go unnoticed.
He still finds my bladder a blast to punch or push off of.
His night time movements make me wish I could just take him out and cuddle on him for a bit, then put him back to finish growing.
He still seems to have the hiccups all the time.  It doesn't bother me, but I wonder if it drives him crazy.

Sleep:
Bathroom breaks are down to one at night unless I drink an excessive amount of water.
As I've said in previous posts, I'm pretty much a side sleeper now and a pillow between the legs is officially a must.

What I miss:
Sometimes I just want to lay on my tummy. Not really gunna happen.

Cravings/Aversions:
No new ones...
Cravings: Oh's Cereal (thanks to my cousins Ben and Laura), Cocoa Pebbles, Maple & Brown Sugar Oatmeal (Mmmm...), pumpkin/squash anything, bean burritos (1st trimester craving is back)

Other Symptoms:
1- I've had some 1st trimester cravings and symptoms come back, one of which being pretty tired.  A combination of pregnancy and single mom life since the 17th.
2- Hello reflux/heartburn. Can you say vurp? *Bleck!*
3- Braxton Hicks, I didn't really have these with Hads, so this is a new one.  Hoping this means he'll come earlier than Hads (41 weeks).
4- Crazy dreams. --> Two nights ago I dreamt Andrew was a polygamist (I know!) and he would take his other wife and all of the kids (even mine) on these trips and would always leave me at home.  In fact, one part of the dream I actually got in the car and he turned to look at me and said, "We're getting ready to leave.  You're going to need to get out."
I blame this on the fact that he's still in Ohio and I'm ready to have him home!!

Big moment this week:
In his 19 week in depth ultrasound they found a choroid plexus cyst on the left side of his brain.  Yesterday was my follow-up appointment to make sure it was gone.  IT WAS GONE, HOORAY!!!  No more worrying...about that at least.

With an in depth appointment you get lots of great pictures, so eat up, he's a cutie!!!

Hadley didn't have hair till she was 2, but this little guy looks like he's working on some already!

Not completely blocking his face, but he's got the arm up there.

  I mean seriously...those lips!!

Sweet little feet!

Completely blocking any attempt on a picture of his face.  This is the norm in most of his ultrasounds.  He loves his arms on/by his face.

I had to roll around on the table, but we got his arms out of his face for a few pictures.

I know, I'm already being "that mom" but he's just so cute!!!

Oliver also just had his first shower Sunday.  He racked up on a bunch of goodies!!
Hostesses (minus one, missed you Sallie)
Family
Goodies
Although I didn't get to catch a picture of everyone I was so blessed by everyone who was able to make it!!  It was a wonderful shower!

Thanks for checkin' in!!
