Open House!

I'm still giving in to cravings, so there are more food pics in this post.

Let the cravings continue...
Yet again I let someone's yummy food picture dictate what our family was having for dinner.  Hads gave it a big thumbs up and says she wants it again.
*Hawaiian Jerk Chicken Kabobs*
(Lucky, yet again, to have all the ingredients already at home.)

I did some comparing last night between me while pregnant with Hadley and Oliver.  While I haven't gained as much, the belly is much more prominent this go around.

This morning, Hadley and I went to get our toenails done before Open House.  I decided not to make the long trek across town for the cute kid chairs, so Hadley had to settle with one of the manicure chairs.
I think Hadley always catches them off guard by how much she wants to talk and how many questions she wants to ask.  I don't think she was quiet the entire time. (This is NO exaggeration.)

*OPEN HOUSE*

Hadley is in Park Plaza Preschool's Pre-K class this year.  She's been telling me regularly that when she turns 5 she'll be in Kindergarten.  She's so ready to be big. *deep breaths*

She was so excited when I told her where we were going she asked if she got to stay for the rest of the day.  I think she's ready to start back to school.
She was thrilled to give her gift to her teachers.

She's loving them already!!
Ms. Mary-Margaret and Ms. Myrna

She had plenty to do while she was there.  I know its going to be such a fun year for her.

*She made a face to go on the bus with the rest of her class.*

*She found her name on the bus wheel.*

*She picked out a spot for her face to go on the bus.*

*Orange hair with yellow highlights, perfect.*

*She found her birthday on the wall.*

*Already found her favorite center.*

Hadley and Jai won't be in the same class on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but they will on Wednesdays, YAY!!!
We've got our own little Sherlock on our hands!

Before we left Hadley found her basket with all her goodies.  She can't wait to start on Tuesday.

Here was Hadley's treat from her teachers, too cute!!
She's been walking around the house with that pad of paper telling me she has so much paperwork to do today. Ha, love it!!!

The rest of our day in comparison was pretty uneventful.

Tonight, I decided I was really craving the Black Pepper Chicken from Panda and I found a recipe that tasted VERY similar!  WINNING!!!
(Had to pick up a few ingredients for this one. I can't believe I didn't have oyster sauce or rice vinegar.)

Today has been a little crazy.  I've been moody/emotional for a good portion: my baby's starting pre-k and my husband is going to be leaving.
I want to stomp my feet and pout in the floor to be honest.  Sadly, that won't accomplish much, so instead I'm going to empty the dishwasher and head to bed.

Thanks for checkin' in!!

Bump Date: 22 Weeks

I think this is comparable to what I was at 27 weeks with Hadley.

How far along:
22 weeks

Total weight gain:
+5
(I'm not gaining a whole lot of weight, but I'm chalking it up to the 1000mg of Metformin that I'm still taking daily for my PCOS.  I've read from several other people, who were on it through out their pregnancies, that they didn't gain as much weight either.  Anyway, my doctor is not concerned because Oliver's still growing on track.  Not that I have to justify, but I just wanted to throw that out there.)

Size of baby:
Spaghetti Squash

Maternity Clothes:
I've got a few normal dresses and stretchy pants I can wear, but the rest are maternity.

Gender:
It's a BOY!!!

Baby Boy's Name:
Oliver Gammill
Oliver- after my Great Grandmother Olive / Gammill (like camel with a 'G')- Andrew's mom's maiden name, as well as Andrew's middle name

Movement:
Yes!
Little man is moving a lot more.  He tends to roll more than he does kick.  I actually jumped at dinner the other night, because one of his boney elbows startled me.
*Favorite Bouncy Spot: my bladder
*Favorite Bounce Time: evening (5ish), bedtime.  I've actually noticed him moving more when I'm preparing a meal, boys...

Sleep:
Well, I'm still at 2-3 bathroom breaks a night and I've been waking up randomly a couple times a night as well.

What I miss:
Not much.

Cravings/Aversions:
Cravings: Sausage, Egg & Cheese Toasters, Veggies, Polar Ice (I only have till September 2nd), MILK and pretty much any tasty looking food picture I have to have
Aversions: fish still doesn't sound good on any level

Other Symptoms:
1- Still NESTING

Big moment this week:
I think he's started to get hiccups he's had a few times in the last couple days where his jolts or kicks are rhythmic for a while before they stop.
Hadley is still thoroughly enjoying coming up and talking to him and while he's not responding to it yet I have a feeling he'll recognize her voice for sure once he gets here.

Cravings, it doesn't take much.

I've really been letting the cravings take over lately.
The other day someone posted a picture of the no bake cookies they had made and I HAD to have some as well.

Yesterday, I made this salad I've been craving a lot for dinner (very filling for a salad).  I'm pretty sure we've had this at least once a week.

After dinner we had a little family time on the couch to watch Bee Movie.  It was Hadley's first time to see it and she was zoned in!
While watching the movie I, of course, needed a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios.  It was totally fitting for the movie.

This morning Jake and I both got our hair cut.  We were both in desperate need of one.  Jake hadn't had one since early July and I hadn't had one since Christmas (ahh!!).

Lookin' good!!

Hadley spent the day in her jammies, her favorite kind of day.

I tried to catch Hadley while reading during her education time today.  She had a little trouble with the C in cat. It's confusing that those Cs can say "s" and "k."  She'll get though.
Sadly its not picking it up as a movie, just a picture.  I guess there's a trick with the instagram videos.

Another favorite for Hadley is her art time!!  She requested finger paint outside today.  I'm all about less cleanup, so I gladly obliged to the outside idea.

For dinner tonight I gave into another craving.  I was talking to someone last night who mentioned making meatloaf for dinner.  I automatically put it on the menu for tonight and thankfully already had everything I needed.

Turkey Meatloaf Florentine
Lots of yummies in there: onions, red peppers, spinach...

I don't think it was Hadley's craving because she tried everything to put off eating it.
Unfortunately, this is what happens when you decide to do everything but eat your dinner.  You have to eat on the floor, in the corner.
Surprisingly enough, once she was in the corner, I didn't have to ask her again to stop, whatever she was doing, and finish her dinner.

We only have a few more days with Andrew before he leaves and its making me anxious.  It snuck up so fast I'm not ready for him to go.  =(  If you're wondering what we'll be doing the next few days it will be soaking up every minute we have with him.

Weekend Update: Cece and Pajee Style

Our Cece and Pajee Weekend Rundown...

*FRIDAY*
They came by the house and delivered one of Carol's delicious rum cakes!!

Then we headed to breakfast at Tally's.
Please excuse the pancakes hanging out of my child's mouth.

After a quick snooze on the couch, for some, we went
 BOWLING!!!
Hadley really wanted to wear the dress Cece got her in Africa.

After we got back from bowling Pajee took us out to celebrate Andrew passing his Step #2 boards at Mahogany, while Cece took Hadley to the hotel to play in their indoor water park.
These aren't the best pictures, but it was fantastic.

After dinner we took Pajee back to the hotel and Hadley decided she was going to stay there with them for the night.  But not until Cece spoiled her with some Cherry Berry before bed.

*SATURDAY*
Hadley started her day with a birthday party for Miss Tatum!!!
Such a cute party and cute little girls!!

Afterwards we came home for some playtime with Cece and Pajee.

Sidewalk Chalk

Lalaloopsy

Then, we were off to another birthday party for Miss Addison.

Even daddy got out there!
Hadley thought daddy needed some assistance so she grabbed him one of these.
Hadley & the Birthday Girl!
Hadley cannot stop talking about going roller skating again!

We lucked out and Cece & Pajee took Hads for another night at the hotel, full of swimming and yet again... Cherry Berry.

We had dinner, then realized we didn't have the energy for a movie unless it was on our couch and in our PJs, so that's what we did.

*SUNDAY*
We started the morning with breakfast at La Madeleine and church.
Then, we took Cece to Big Splash.

I believe we're all thoroughly worn out, especially Hadley.
An early bedtime for us all is in order.

Thanks for checkin' in!!

Bump Date: 21 Weeks

The 2 hours I saw Andrew yesterday I forgot to get him to take a picture, so mirror picture it is.

How far along:
21 weeks

Total weight gain:
+5

Size of baby:
Carrot
(This seems odd to me as last week they compared his size to a banana. I feel like bananas are more times bigger than carrots than the other way around, humph...)
Judging by my belly and how hard it is to tie my shoes already I'd say he's atleast 2 or 3 carrots.  ;)

Maternity Clothes:
I've got a few normal stretchy pants I can wear, but the rest are maternity.

I've already started getting some alarming and uncomfortable jabs in the side.  (I'm thinking it's his boney elbows.)
*Favorite Bouncy Spot: my bladder
*Favorite Bounce Time: evening (5ish), bedtime

Sleep:
Ha, well I'm back up to 2-3 bathroom breaks a night and I've been waking up randomly a couple times a night.  Laying on my stomach is pretty much out of the picture as anytime I do I'm quickly awoken by kicks or punches.

What I miss:
Not much.

Cravings/Aversions:
Cravings: Sausage, Egg & Cheese Toasters, Veggies, Polar Ice (I only have till September 2nd), and MILK (accompanied by lactaid pills, blah)
Aversions: fish doesn't sound good on any level and I can't stand the smell of eggs cooking which then makes me not want to eat them

Other Symptoms:
1- NESTING (with Andrew getting ready to leave for the next couple months I think my subconscious is turning it on ALOT earlier this time around.  I'm ready to get everything done and I want to do it RIGHT now!  That being said, my energy is back.  I also feel I need to take advantage of this time while it lasts because it may be gone again in the next few weeks.

Big moment this week:
Hadley felt Oliver kick!!!  It was GREAT!! Her face was priceless and she just looked at me and said, "WOW, that was awesome!!"

I also feel like he's starting to develop a little bit of a personality.  With Hadley we could mess with her (poke around on my belly) and she would kick and punch with this "bring it on" attitude.
When we do it to Oliver he won't move for several minutes after.  Honestly, I picture him just balled up with his lip sticking out wishing we would just leave him alone.  I was telling Andrew's mom this the other night and she just laughed and said he's sounding like an Andrew.

N-E-S-T-I-N-G... Nesting

It's crazy how my energy level went from complete exhaustion to full time clean out/nesting/project mode in like a week's time.

Here's a few things we've been busy with, just for fun.
A movie date with our sweet girl!!

We got to watch Hadley Joy, while her parents got a belated anniversary date.
Rowing to save toys at Sunny Side.
Coloring Incognito
Pop*Ice

I pulled out some of Hadley's ultrasounds and compared them to Oliver's.  It's funny how the ultrasound caught them in very similar poses.
(Hadley is 6 weeks farther than Oliver in all of these. She's a little more filled out than he is.)
Big Splash Trip!
Now that school had started in Tulsa, they're only open on weekends, so we're trying to get our fill.

Sunday night kid devotional with one of our awesome community group leaders.  Thank you Marcus!!

One SUPER fun thing I got to do this past week was book our next Disney trip.  Not just for us, but for Andrew's side of the family.  We're bringing 8 adults and 6 kids, AHH!!!  This is Hadley's 3rd trip but the first time we're waiting to tell her until we leave.  We're actually flying this year so our plan is to do it either at the airport or before we leave.

That being said, I've started buying some outfits.
(We're going in April, so hopefully the weather will be perfect, not too hot, not too cold.)
I'm going to try and hold off for now and wait to little Ollie gets here and get them a couple matching sets. (He'll be 3 months when we go.)  AHHH, I love Disney!!!

So, I've also been working on lots of projects.  Some are bigger than others but most of them needed to be done and I'm all too eager to do them.

I made some decor for a baby shower I'm helping out with.

We took Hadley's bed down and converted it back to a crib.
***
For those of you concerned at how early I'm setting up his room...
Note: My husband is about to be MIA from about September 1st-October 27th and then gone off and on for the month of November.  I have no intention on assembling all of the big stuff on my own, hints why I'm doing it now while he's still here.
***
Part of why we took it down was to finally motivate me to finish the bed the goes with the rest of Hadley's current furniture in her room.  I did her dresser and vanity last year and have said every month since that I was going to do her bed.
Here's how her dresser and vanity turned out.

Welp....
Now that her mattresses are sitting on the floor (which she thinks is awesome) I'm officially motivated.
Before

Middle
The bottom pic is actually of the backside of the footboard.  The front was already finished.
After
Coming Soon!!

I picked out some fabric that will go with the bedding I'm wanting and made some art for his wall.
I still have a few things to add to them, but it feels good to have something on the wall.

I'm also in MAJOR clean out mode.  We have gone through closets and the garage and thrown a lot away and donated a lot as well.

I also went through SEVERAL boxes of all of Hadley's clothes from birth-current trying to condense. It came at a good time too because I was also going through Hadley's closet for the Just Between Friends Consignment Sale we were having here in Tulsa.
All the little boxes consolidated to the big purple box.
With all the clean out, Little Man finally has drawer and closet space, HOORAY!

I've also finally started painting the little table that's in Hadley's playroom.

After
Also coming soon!!

Hopefully I'll have those after pictures for you in the next couple days.  =)
