Shakin' Bakin Tuesday!! {Kinda}

Yesterday before I took Hadley to MDO we made muffins for her class.
(Sorry I didn't take any pictures of the activity this week. I was surprised enough that I managed to bake before school.)

I got a lot accomplished while Hadley was in school, including bringing in my car to get fixed.
I was supposed to get a Corolla or Camry as my rental while they worked on my car over the next couple days, but they only had a Tundra available.
I feel kinda funny driving a big truck but I have to be honest I love being up that high.
When I went to pick up Hadley she refused to get in it and said, "No I not ride in this car."  I then had to explain that mommy's car had a boo-boo so we had to take this car until it was better.  Lucky for me that actually worked and she got in.

Tonight's Dinner:
Homemade Broccoli & Cheese Soup
(The recipe is on my food blog.  I'm not going to lie I'm pretty proud of myself on this one.)

After dinner I got some gifts wrapped.
9 wrapped up
4 packed in bags

Right now I'm enjoying the smell of the roast I put in the crock*pot last night and watching rudolph with my kiddo.  It smells AMAZING, I can't wait for dinner tonight.  =)

Weekend Update {Thanksgiving}

WEDNESDAY
When we got into town we met some family for dinner & dessert.  Then we hung out at Jolene and Ryan's house.  Mimi and Pap-pa came over and brought the girls an EARLY Christmas gift with some Jessie PJs & leg warmers for Hadley and Tangled PJs and leg warmers for Audrey.
The girls and Rudolph watching Frosty the Snowman.

THANKSGIVING DAY
Jolene and I had made the pecan pie the night before and so all we had was the dressing to make before we left.  The boys went early to start the turkey (which we fried, yum). We headed over shortly after to Grandma and Pap-pap's for the parade, football, Black Friday deals, and of course FOOD!

Andrew & Jonathan watching football and us girls' mess spread across the living room floor.

The girls and Mimi!

Working hard in the kitchen.

After dinner Pap-pa burned off some calories by bouncing the girls for a while.

And one of my favorite Thanksgiving traditions, GAMES!  We played a game of Skip*Bo, which was not only fun but very entertaining.

Jolene and I headed to Kohl's at 11:15pm for their 12am opening for Black Friday.
Only to find out we really AREN'T good Black Friday shoppers.  We perused for a bit until a Kohl's worker came up and asked if we needed some help.  We figured they were a little alarmed by our lack of enthusiasm. When we saw the line had wrapped around the store in the 20 minutes that we had spent aimlessly walking around, we decided nothing was worth that wait and left.
We went to sleep and I found some good deals with Andrew the next day around 11:30, which was much more my style of shopping.  I'm not a morning person.

FRIDAY
We met mom and dad for breakfast at Chick-fil-A. (Note: My parents had still not gone to sleep from the night before because of Black Friday shopping.)
Then we headed to their house to set up the outside Christmas lights.
Hadley was a great helper.
Friday afternoon we watched the unfortunate Razorback game.  Although we may have lost I'm still proud of my Razorbacks, WOO PIGS!

That night Jolene and Ryan went out with some of her old high school friends and we had the girls.
Night-time stories with Uncle Andrew.

SATURDAY
Ryan's family came in town so we had to watch the OU game.  We did a little more shopping and finished the day staying up and playing Phase 10 with Jolene, Ryan, Andrew, and my little brother Jonathan.
FUN TIMES!

SUNDAY
The girls before heading out to church.

*SHOUT OUT*
Flagstone Church of Christ is where Jolene and Ryan go to church.  A little over a year ago the church I grew up in decided to plant another church in town to reach out to the community. (Northwest Arkansas is growing so fast and they believed the church needed to as well.)  Jolene and Ryan were some of the few who volunteered to go over and get the new church plant started and I just have to say the members of Flagstone have done an AMAZING job!  As I said earlier it was just a little over a year ago they started and they're already looking for another building because they have outgrown their current one.
God is SO good!!

Sunday night we worked on putting up some more Christmas decorations I can't wait to show you guys all of them!
Here's a peak at Hadley's Princess/Barbie tree.

Weekend Update {Picture Overload}

FRIDAY
We arrived in Branson in time for dinner so we just went to Pizza Hut for a quick meal so we could get the girls down. The night was full of games, laughs and air quotes.

We kept having issues of people talking over people so Ciara came up with this nice idea so we would know who had the floor.

Everything was put in "air quotes" all night.

SATURDAY
We all got up for breakfast and then headed to the outlet mall.

Audrey waiting for everyone else to get ready.

Leaves*Breakfast*Spaceship

This picture cracks me up.  Hadley went over and started talking to the mannequin then grabbed her hand and told me to take a picture.
She never wants to get her picture taken anymore.

Lunch at Panera, yum!

Silver Dollar City

*Butterflies & Ladybugs*

*Frogs*

The boys all rode what Hadley calls, "Scary."

*Teacups*

Waiting for the parade to start when we thought it started at 5:30.
(It really started at 7:00.)

Our dinner group.

The couples/families.

The tree was BEAUTIFUL!

Parade Food:
Christmas Funnel Cake

*The PARADE*

Our whole clan, such a fun group.

She was WORN out.

SUNDAY
We all packed up and went to breakfast at Cracker Barrel.

Hadley styling Miriam's hair.

While waiting for our table at Cracker Barrel Hadley found this electronic fish and was hooked.

After breakfast we hit the road.

Road trip story:
On the way home (about 30 minutes down the road) Hadley started complaining about her bottom hurting.  We thought it may be diaper rash since she still wears one at night and decided we would pull over and check and put something on it.
When we pulled over everything looked fine but we thought we'd put a diaper on for the rest of the trip to make less stops.  After putting the diaper on she starts screaming bloody murder and really saying it hurts.  I automatically start listing in my head of everything it could be.  At first I was thinking possible bladder/kidney infection then she points to where it hurts and its around her appendix area.  OMG!!
Andrew tells me to just hang on to her (I know, I know...but she was having such a hard time getting comfortable in ANY position) and he took off to the nearest hospital, which was 13 miles away.  At this point I'm about in tears.
All of the sudden I feel something warm in my lap, so I figured she had gone to the bathroom. (despite all the times we asked her if she needed to go.) Then she looks up at me and says, "Its all better mommy!"
I was so thankful that it was just her having to pee so bad, but when we pulled over again to put her back in her carseat I look down to see that her diaper wasn't on very well. It was ALL in my seat and all over me, awesome!
Lesson learned...lesson learned.

Weekend Update!

FRIDAY
We headed to Searcy for the weekend.
The kiddos were eager.

When we got in town we met CeCe and Pajee and they picked up Jakers and Hadley.  Then we had dinner with our friends Tim and Melissa.
We are so excited for them they are expecting their first May 9, 2012.  (That's just 2 days after Hadley birthday!!)  I got a picture of Melissa and I for two reasons: 1- I haven't seen her let alone had a picture with her in a long time and 2- I have a picture when we were celebrating her birthday and I was preggo, now we were a couple days from my birthday and she's preggo!
Celebrating my birthday in 2011.
Celebrating Melissa's birthday in 2009.
 SATURDAY
That morning I had a coffee date with a dear friend of mine, Heather.  We got caught up and enjoyed The Great Pumpkin Latte from Midnight Oil.

Oh and she got me the most ADORABLE apron from Anthropologie, which I will show at a later date. I LOVE IT!!

That afternoon J.O. and Tamra dropped off their kiddos as they were going to the Razorback game in Fayetteville.  Much fun was had.
*Piano Time*
That night Andrew and I had a date, which was fantastic.  I haven't laughed that hard in a while.  I just love that guy!  =)
Don't worry we also had a constant feed from our phones of the Arkansas game.
WOO PIG SOOIE!!!

SUNDAY
Cece and I stayed home with the kiddos while Pajee and Andrew went to church because they were all kind of snotty.
Oh, the joys of bubble wrap.

After church we had lunch with everyone then stopped by to see Grandaddy Bob and Carol and then hit the road.  Unfortunately we didn't leave till after 6 so it was after 10 when we got home, boo!

MONDAY
Well, Monday was officially my birthday but I spent most all my day at home trying to get Hadley better.  She was still snotty and I wanted to make sure she was going to be able to go to MDO today.  We took our vitamins, drank OJ, sniffed saline, had soup for lunch and managed not to get a fever, HOORAY!
We had planned to have some friends over to celebrate but opted to postpone until we were 100%.
As some of you may have read on facebook part of my birthday present from Andrew was to decorate for Christmas early, I was pumped. When Andrew got home we packed up all the fall decor and unloaded some boxes from the garage full of Christmas stuff!

Hadley also got a new Christmas outfit and my girlfriend that made it wanted a picture of her in it to go on her website.  She was being a nut.

Finally I got a couple good ones to send her.

My loves!
Okay... so this is all my loves!

Andrew and I had a tradition of eating pizza and watching Christmas Vacation as we set up the tree, but its not really appropriate for a 2 year old.  So this year we started a new tradition of eating pizza and watching Mickey's Once & Twice Upon a Christmas as we set up the tree.

I'm also adding a Christmas tree it's going to go in Hadley's playroom! Can't wait for its reveal!
Phase 1 of Christmas decor is finished.
