My Sick Little Monkey

Well the plan for Hadley and I to just hang out around the house the next few days has come all too true.  Hadley's got a bug and has been pretty pathetic.

Since we got home Friday Hadley has progressively gotten more puny.
Friday night she looked like this.

Saturday it was this and she was consistently running 101*+ temperature once the Motrin and Tylenol would where off.

This morning we took her to the Urgent Care clinic where she requested to wear her Strawberry Shortcake dress.
She actually looks likes she's feeling pretty good in this picture.

We had been thinking strep throat since she started developing some spots on her throat Saturday afternoon.  When they looked today the sores were everywhere.  They told us it was oral stomatitis and the only thing we can do for it is Motrin, Tylenol, and a cold soft diet for the next 7 to 10 days. She also has impetigo around the outside of her mouth which requires antibiotic cream 3x's a day. Oh and she pretty much has to be quarantined until she's over it.  =(

It's crazy, Hadley has very rarely been sick but when she is, she goes all out.

I will say she's pretty excited about her new diet though.
Who could blame her?!

My child who never takes naps has been taking them religiously the past few days.  I love when she takes them, but I hate when she's sick.  =(

Sweet face!

Here's a little peek at some of her sores.  Seriously, they're all over her gums to the point she cries when we brush her teeth, they're also on the insides of her cheeks, roof of her mouth, tongue, throat.... Like I said earlier they're everywhere.  I hate it!

Needless to say there's lots of hand washing going on at our house.

Worst part of the day was when Hadley came up to give me a night night kiss and I turned so she would kiss my cheek instead of my lips, she started crying.  Breaks my heart.  The next 7 to 10 days couldn't go by fast enough.
Pray my sweet girl gets better soon.

Thanks for checkin' in!!

Paige Ryan {Part II}

MONDAY (23rd)
We had a little photo shoot with Miss Paige.  She was very alert and wiggly so we didn't get a whole lot.

We also had dinner with some of our faves at Panera!

TUESDAY (24th)
Tuesday morning I watched some of the kids while Paige had a doctors appointment to check her billirubins.  After breakfast at "Chick-a-flick" I put the kiddos to work.  =)
 Hadley loved the scooter.

Ryan is currently painting all the kid's rooms.  Mom and dad brought over an old dresser they had from Jolene and I's room when we were kids, for their oldest.  We're painting it a fun bright color.  Every teenage girl's dream.

In the midst of prepping we found some art by me.  I drew in marker this little number.
Then, apparenty engraved my name on the top.

Let the painting begin!

WEDNESDAY (25th)
I had the kids again while they went to yet another appointment to get Paige's billirubins checked.  She was just shy of going under the lights, but thankfully they were able to come home.

That night we went to eat dinner with some friends at their new house.  They grilled some amazing chicken and we had fun playing games afterwards.

Hadley getting a boost from Cade to look at their neighboring horse.

Hadley loved Miss Briley.  She was trying to help her put her shoes on in this picture.

The girlies, minus Hadley.
We had a blast with the bean bag toss.
This was right before I tossed one of their bean bags over the fence into the horse pasture.  =/
THURSDAY (26th)
Jolene and Ryan had another appointment for Paige so we took the kids to Silver Dollar City.

Somebody's excited!!

"Are we there yet?!"

First stop, the Train, where we got an up close view of the new roller coaster.  It's going to be awesome!

Frogs (Part I)

Butterflies

Frogs (Part II)

It started raining and lightening after that so the only rides left open were Fire in the Hole and the Flooded Mine.  The kids enjoyed both and even though there was a lot shut down we still had a blast! Maybe it was the trip to the candy shop that made it worth it.  =)

Before heading on to the Flooded Mine the kids got their picture in the stocks.

Hadley and I headed back to Tulsa Friday afternoon and plan to just lay low for a couple days.  It's been a great time with family but we're glad to be home with Daddy!

Thanks for checkin' in!!

Paige Ryan {Part I}

Sorry I've been out for a while but I came back with pictures!
My sister went into labor last Wednesday, July 18th, and had Miss Paige at 1:45p with an ALL natural VBAC.  Yeah she's awesome!
(Side Note: Anesthesiologists are a lot like Santa at Christmas on the OB floor but when you page for your epidural twice (yes that's 2 different times) and they never show they're more like the Grinch.)
That aside Paige came really quick so Jolene said it wasn't "too" bad.

6.4 lbs and 18.5"

Just a few pictures from the day.

Bath time

Seestors!

Hadley brought Jo a picture later that night.

THURSDAY (19th)
I got up and headed to the hospital early to get some Paige time and bring the "newer" parents breakfast.

That afternoon mom and I went shopping and turned this...

 into this...
The freezer is good to go, plus they have meals coming from church too.

Once we finished up we headed back up to the hospital for some more Paige time.  =)

FRIDAY (20th)
Ryan's mom was taking their kiddos to see Ice Age: Continental Drift and invited Hadley and I to come along.

I had the kids that night and since Jolene and Paige were coming home the next day we had a couple activities planned.

That night we made shirts for all the kids.
(Have I mentioned that other than my sister's now 2 biological children she also has 3 foster kids at home, yet another reason for her awesomeness.)

 Ta*Da

We also made a cake for Jo.  She's a big German Chocolate fan so....

SATURDAY
We picked up this very fitting sign for Paige's arrival home.

Andrew had the weekend off and was able to make it in that afternoon, YAY!

That night all the guys went to see the new Batman movie.  Us girl stayed home and made a night of it with popcorn and Troop Beverly Hills.
We invited Paige and she stayed awake for about 5 minutes.

SUNDAY
We went to church then headed to Jo's for lunch.
I got a picture of Andrew with Miss Paige before he headed home.

We've had a blast with this sweet girl.  I just got back today so I have plenty more pictures that I'll share later. But I'll leave you with this for now.

Thanks for checkin' in!!
