Weekend Update {Dresser Reveal}

SATURDAY
I finished my project!!!

Grandmother's dresser + Valspar: Purpling Dawn & Glass Handles
=

I also found this cute contact paper for the inside of the drawers, added bonus!

Besides the project we were SUPER lazy!!

Hadley's afternoon snack was Nutella and animal crackers.
It was EVERYWHERE!

These are just some funny Hadley face pictures.

For dinner, Andrew grilled some delicious chicken and we had a side of green beans.

 SUNDAY
This morning we got up and went to church.  (Hooray for being on time, maybe even early!)
When we got home I let Hadley open this 100 piece puzzle I had gotten at Dollar Tree. (I love Dollar Tree by the way.)  She totally rocked it!!
I was given strict instructions that I was only to work on the outside border.  I tried helping with the inside but got in big trouble.  =)
She's a ROCKSTAR!!!

I also did some serious reorganizing today.

Besides the sense of accomplishment, there is another thing I absolutely LOVE about finishing a project and that is my house getting back in order.
My kitchen turned into this the last night of my project.

Now its back to mostly looking like this...

When Hadley moved into a full size bed we took the mattress out of the guest room and never put a bed back in there.  Overtime it just became a storage unit.  Some of you who have been to my house might not have known this room existed because you were never aloud in it.  =)
Well, I worked hard on the guest bedroom today.  Let me say that when the "before" picture was taken I had emptied out all of the drawers for the dresser and vanity.  This was also the night I was organizing the closet so it was in ULTRA bad shape.  Infact, I'm VERY embarrassed with this picture.  =/

2 weeks ago it looked like this, AGH!!!!

It now looks like this...
(A work in progress.)

I also did some rearranging in Hadley's room.
Where Hadley's bedroom used to look like this...

It now looks like this...
(Note: I have the bed that goes with the furniture.  I'm just going to take a break before starting on it.)

Projects are on hold until after Hadley's birthday.  Maybe even farther off than that...I'm tired.
Well, my sister is coming in town tomorrow (can't wait!) and I've got a to do list, so I better get!

Thanks for checkin' in!!

A Fun Filled Friday!!

This morning our playgroup was going to go to the zoo.  Well because of the rainy weather this morning we canceled.  Then the rain stopped and the sun came out so we decided to go again. In the midst of all the change we lost some of our playgroup goers. =(
Jessica was the first one to get there and apparently it was also "bring your child to the zoo/take a field trip to the zoo" day and it was packed.  She called to tell me she couldn't find a parking space so she and Hadley just came over to our house to play instead.

Later we walked down the street for some yummy food at Tally's!!

We had a fun mommy/daughter (Hadley) date!

After lunch Jessica and Hadley went home and I finished up a mini project.
Hadley's room was originally in red, black, green and white.  Since our transition I haven't done anything with her picture collage wall.... until now.
Before

After

I spray painted all the frames white, changed the ribbon on the hanging ones and to make them pop I added some colorful scrapbook paper to the mattes.

When Andrew got home I worked on the dresser.  (This was a must as I have not touched it in 2 days, because its been kinda crazy around here.)  While I did that he and Hadley had some painting time of their own.

Tonight I also had another shower (#3 for the week) for Mr. Huck Petersen.

His shower was themed just like his room, cowboys!  Everything was absolutely adorable, right down to the cake and little favors they gave all the guests!

All of the SAA girls at the shower with the guest of honor.

*Presents for Baby Huck*
Love the little baby Wranglers!!

 Bahaha.... love these girls!!!

Jessica also took Bekah's maternity pictures and they turned out GREAT!  You can see them for yourself, HERE!

Well, I am determined to finish this project by tomorrow so its going to be a late night.  Wish me luck!

Baby Shower, Baby Hopes, Babysitting

Yesterday, I helped out with a shower for Lindsey, one of the girls who works up at the school.  She is such an amazing help to all the incoming and current students as well as their spouses, LOVE her!!
She is having a little boy, Jack, this summer.  Micah contacted me a few months ago about helping and she had the cutest idea.  It was a book shower, to help build up Baby Jack's "library."  You could get him just a book or use a book in lieu of a card.  Very cute idea!!

*The Table*

The diaper cake I made for Baby Jack.

The girls kept themselves pretty entertained with the bag of toys Hadley and I brought with us.

*Cupcake #1*

*GIFTS*

Hadley and Addison were big helpers, delivering all the tissue paper to the trash can.

Hadley test read all the books to make sure Jack would like them.  ;)

All of the books Baby Jack stocked up on.

All the hostesses with the guest of honor.

*Me & Micah*

Jaye Bea made Jack the cutest little onsies.

Sweet Lindsey is looking amazing in her 28th week of pregnancy!!

While we were cleaning up Hadley got cupcake #2 and by the look of it I believe she thoroughly enjoyed it.

Giving out some Smurf kisses.  =)

Lindsey also made all the hostesses these adorable personalized stationery sets, LOVE!

Last night we didn't make it to church.  Hadley was complaining of her tummy hurting and was super crazy (both I think could be contributed by the 2 cupcakes) so she went to bed at 7:30.
She's also going through, what I would call, growing pains.  Recently she's been complaining of her legs hurting and waking up in the middle of the night crying about them.  =(  Ready for this to be over, bless her heart!

Today, I had my 4th shot, HOORAY!!!
Every month they check my levels and my nurse was going over last months results.  She said my estrogen was no longer readable it was so low, it just says <10, ha.  (Normal is in 40-50 range)
Night sweats and hot flashes are no joke for this girl, but the mood swings are much better.  My first few months were a little bumpy, but I think we've gotten that all sorted out and I feel like I'm just breezing through them now.
I get my last shot at the end of June and I'll start hormones (birth control) at the end of July to jumpstart everything again for the next 2 to 3 months.  This will put us to October or November. *fingers crossed*
***
After my shot I went to the gym and then met my sweety for lunch at Old School Bagel!

Bruschetta Chicken on an Everything Bagel

& of course a chocolate chunk

I also picked up these baskets at the Dollar Tree.  If things (gift stuff) goes on sale or clearance, I'm always a sucker, so I now have a stock pile for birthdays and baby showers.  I love to organize so the color coordinating was necessary.
*Blue: Boy*       *Green: Gender Neutral*       *Pink: Girl*

Tonight we watched Hadley Joy while her parents had a date night and we had a BLAST!!

*Dinner Time*

*Playing Outside*

*Playing Inside*

The Hadleys put on a dance party!
Tomorrow we are meeting our playgroup at the zoo and then I have yet another baby shower.  (This is why I stock pile.)

Thanks for checkin' in!!
