Bump Date: 26 Weeks

How far along:
26 weeks

Total weight gain:
I'm officially removing this portion.
I'm not really gaining much weight, which makes me somewhat self conscious (crazy that I feel that way about not gaining weight).  I promise I'm not dieting my ritual every night for the past week has been a bowl of Quakers maple and brown sugar oatmeal (and I add some extra maple & brown sugar).  Anyway, instead of stressing I'm just going to stop doing it.

Size of baby:
Scallion
(about 14 inches)

Maternity Clothes:
I've got a few normal dresses and stretchy pants I can wear, but the rest are maternity.
Totally sported some fall attire today, LOVE!!!  Looking forward to more 70* days!

Gender:
It's a BOY!!!

Baby Boy's Name:
Oliver Gammill
Oliver- after my Great Grandmother Olive / Gammill (like camel with a 'G')- Andrew's mom's maiden name, as well as Andrew's middle name

Movement:
Yes!
Little man is very active these days and I love it.  LOVES the full on summersault.
*Favorite Bouncy Spot: my bladder
*Favorite Bounce Time: evening (5ish), bedtime.
Incase you missed it on my post a few days ago.

Sleep:
Bathroom breaks are at about 2 a night and I'm pretty much a side sleeper now.  I may wake up on partial belly, but he's sure to let me know when he's uncomfortable.
Pillow between the legs is officially a must.

What I miss:
Sometimes I just want to lay on my tummy. Not really gunna happen.

Cravings/Aversions:
Cravings: Maple & Brown Sugar Oatmeal (Mmmm...), Auntie Anne's Almond Pretzels with Carmel, pumpkin/squash anything
Aversions: fish still doesn't sound good on any level, I especially don't want to smell it

Other Symptoms:
1- Still NESTING
2- Had a few tired waves here and there. Not sure if that's pregnancy related or husband being gone related.
3- Oh sciatica...  I may not start the day so bad but if you catch me at the end of the day (especially a day with lots of walking) I'm in full waddle mode.

Big moment this week:
Another week of not many big moments.  Oliver has definitely started to get the hiccups more often.  Its so sweet to feel but at the same time when it goes for a while I start feeling bad for him, bless it.

I'm posting a full pic, because I'm dawning fall apparel and it just wouldn't be appropriate unless I got the boots in the picture.

Thanks for checkin' in!!

I Hope You Dance

If I were to give this week (I know it's only Monday) a song/dance it would be Father Abraham.  The song that we all loved as a kid but when its requested as an adult you skip a couple verses because, lets be honest, it could go forever.  It's actually a bit physically exhausting as you're expected to sing and do all the movements simultaneously.  When it's over you feel a great since of accomplishment: 1- It's over and 2- You survived it.

Okay so I maybe exaggerating about the physical exertion in that song, but I've been a bit melodramatic here lately. While the song may not last forever this bug seems like it's taking its time to leave.

Yesterday we managed to stay in our jammies ALL DAY!!  Which was perfect for movies in mommy's bed!

Hadley's fever only got up to 101, but she did a nice projectile vomit show for me about 6 this morning all over the hallway floor. (Seriously it was epic. I kinda wish I could show you the distance she got!)
Thank goodness for hardwood.  Some towels and a good moping were all we needed instead of full on carpet scrubbing, yuck.

Since she added the vomiting today we made another trip to the doctor to rule out a few more things.  Now we know it is not a UTI and its not strep.  Her fever has also been much lower today.  As you can tell by her face, while we were there, she's feeling better.
I know I wouldn't be smiling like this if I had thrown up as much as she has today.  They did find ketones in her urine so they were a little concerned about her getting dehydrated so we're doing the BRAT diet and Zofran.

"Hey Mom! Those look like owls!"
Hadley's observation of our room door.

We're still not over it, but I'm glad she's feeling better.  In celebration of a few hours without vomit we did some sidewalk chalk and of course....DANCING!!!
Speaking of dancing, Lil' Bit was doing a number this morning.

Weekend Update: We Want Daddy Home

*SATURDAY*
We started the day with a BBQ Picnic at the park for SAA.  Hadley had a blast playing with friends.
While we ate lunch Hadley laid on my lap a couple time, which I knew wasn't like her, but she felt fine so I just figured she was tired.

We got home and I mowed. (No more brush pile to mow around, HOORAY!)
And after coming in she kept getting more mopey. Around 7 her temp was 101.5, and I gave her Tylenol a glass of ice water and cold grapes, 45 minutes later it had gone up to 102.1 (taken orally even after ice water and cold grapes).
Andrew's usually the one to tell me she'll be fine and I'm overreacting but he wasn't here and she rarely runs fever.  Not saying she isn't ever sick, she just doesn't run fevers very often. (I can honestly only count on one hand.)  On top of the fever she was complaining of her "brain hurting" and her "eyes feeling weird." (In my head Hadley has meningitis at least 5 times a year, haha, so this really freaked me out.)
Naturally I had a meltdown, then pulled myself together and got her ready to go to the ER. (I would blame the meltdown on hormones, but I really hate when she's sick AND Andrew's not here.)
I would have been fine taking her to an urgent care but the one we usually go to was already closed for the day.
Thankfully, we got in and out really fast and were able to see a doctor that's in our Bible class at church.
Rocking her PJs and Goofy slippers in the ER.
Of course its a virus which means Tylenol/Motrin until it passes, BLAH!
When we got home her temp was over 103 so I gave her some Motrin and thankfully she broke out in a serious sweat about 30 minutes later.

*SUNDAY*
Last night really felt like having a newborn.  I was up just about every 1-2 hours and didn't actually go to bed until after midnight.  Her fever spiked again around 5:30 at 103.3, but went down with tylenol.  After giving her Motrin for 101.5 this morning at 9 she stayed between 100-101, without meds, until 4.
After talking to Andrew and some other friends we're kinda thinking Roseola, because its going around and Hadley doesn't have hardly any symptoms besides the fever and headache.  That being said, hopefully we only have another day or so of fever, then a rash and we can be done with this mess!!

On a more exciting note, today's the first day of fall!!!  Its a beautiful 80* here and I have changed out all my wax warmers to fall scents.  I also have some homemade butternut squash soup in the crockpot that is smelling divine right now.  I cannot wait to sit and enjoy some!!

Incase you're counting, like Hads and I are, only 5 more days till Andrew's home.

Thanks for checkin' in!!

Bump Date: 25 Weeks

How far along:
25 weeks

Total weight gain:

Don't ask me how this is happening, because I ate 2 pumpkin cookies and M&Ms last night around 10. That was after dinner and a bowl of cereal of few hours later.

Rutabaga

I've got a few normal dresses and stretchy pants I can wear, but the rest are maternity.
Not gunna lie, I'm ready for some fall weather and fall clothes!!

Oliver Gammill
Oliver- after my Great Grandmother Olive / Gammill (like camel with a 'G')- Andrew's mom's maiden name, as well as Andrew's middle name

Movement:
Yes!
Little man is very active these days and I love it.  He is constantly reminding me he's in there and constantly reminding me how much he loves throwing bows.  Anytime he throws an elbow it can't be just once.  He needs to do it at least 3 times to be sure I felt it.
*Favorite Bouncy Spot: my bladder
*Favorite Bounce Time: evening (5ish), bedtime.

Sleep:
Bathroom breaks are at about 2 a night and I'm pretty much a side sleeper now.  I may wake up on partial belly, but he's sure to let me know when he's uncomfortable.

What I miss:
Sometimes I just want to lay on my tummy. Not really gunna happen.

Cravings/Aversions:
Cravings: Sausage, Egg & Cheese Toasters, Auntie Anne's Almond Pretzels with Carmel, MILK and pretty much any tasty looking food picture I have to have pronto
Aversions: fish still doesn't sound good on any level

Other Symptoms:
1- Still NESTING
2- Had a few tired waves here and there. Not sure if that's pregnancy related or husband being gone related.
3- Oh sciatica...  I may not start the day so bad but if you catch me at the end of the day (especially a day with lots of walking) I'm in full waddle mode.

Big moment this week:
Nothing extraordinary, so I just fill this space with another belly pic.  =)

Weekend Update: Deep in the Heart of Texas

*THURSDAY*
It was a little bit of a rough trip Hadley was wired and didn't want to do any of the activities I had brought for the trip.  It was a good several hours of "Are we there yet?"

Stopping at Panera for their new Autumn Squash soup helped some though.

We finally arrived in Austin, where Andrew's sister, and her family live.  It was about midnight and Hadley only slept the last 10 minutes.

*FRIDAY*
We made a run through Dan's Hamburgers for lunch. Then we headed back to the house to play for the rest of the afternoon.

Sprinklers and trampolines are always fun.
Andrew came in just in time for dinner and we did some classic Tex Mex. YUM!

Ready for bed!

After the kiddos headed to bed we played a game of Jokers & Pegs.  Rach and I pretty much dominated the guys.  Yep, 3 in a row!!!

 *SATURDAY*
We made the drive to San Antonio and spent the day in Sea World.
Someone was pumped!!

I LOVE SEA WORLD!!

 *Shamu Express*

*Splash Pad*

*Face Painting*

*Azul*

The acrobats were pretty amazing!
 *Cuties*

*Rio Loco*

Even after a pretty exhausting day, this sweet girl was all about helping and brought her own bag inside.

 *SUNDAY*
I have a cousin who lives in San Antonio with her husband so we met up for lunch at Rudy's.  It was delicious and just in case you're in the area you need to get their creamed corn!!!

After lunch we headed downtown to The Children's Museum, The Alamo and the Riverwalk.

The last time we were there Hadley was 6 months old, so we had fun retaking some of our pictures of then and now.
Hadley loved the Children's Museum and spent the first 30 minutes at this sandbox.

Just another day at the farm.

*H-E-B Market*

*Pilot Hadley*

*Ball Pit Fun*

After dinner at Hard Rock, on the river, we headed to Ben & Jerry's.
Ice Cream is always a hit with the Hads.

Another fun filled day!

 *MONDAY*
We headed back to Austin, so Andrew could get his car and then we headed home, while Andrew headed to work.
A last farewell!

After accomplishing our 2nd successful trip through Dallas traffic we celebrated with Huddle House.

It was a great time getting to see some family and getting to see Andrew.  We've been missing him something fierce!!  Can't wait till we get him home for a few days, we just have to wait another 10 days.
