God In the Everyday

This afternoon we had a lunch date with our friends Emerson, Caroline and their momma, Erin at "Chick-a-flick."  After playing hard for a while they deserved a treat.
These girls love their ice cream!

Hadley pretending to sleep during our short trip to Target after lunch.

Andrew's school was on our way home, so Hadley and I decided to visit and bring him a drink from Sonic.

Tonight we (parents of young kids) had a meeting with our wonderful children's minister about all the fun things happening at Park Plaza this summer for our kiddos.
They provided dinner and had the tables set up all fun and summery.

Before heading to class we played around in the teacher supply room.  Incase they wonder what happened to all their "wiggly eyes" I have evidence of these three, haha.

Our classes right now have the men and women slit up.  I think its great because there are definitely things that speak straight to a woman's heart that wouldn't a man's and vise versa.  Tonight was the conclusion of this quarters lesson and it was great.

One of our elder's wives was teaching the class and she talked about the importance of leaving our legacy.  She encouraged us to journal about how we see God working in our EVERYday.  She also talked about there will be a time when we can share these journals with our children and grandchildren and help to instill that faith in them as well.

I don't keep a journal.... but I do have a blog.  =)
I thought, I do a pretty good job of blogging on a regular basis so maybe I will make it a resolution to look for and mention how God has shown himself in my daily, mundane life.  I think this is going to be a very uplifting resolution and I encourage you to join in.  =)

Shakin' Bakin' Tuesday and A New Read

Yesterday was yet another beautiful day so we spent some quality time outside after our usual Monday errands.
Andrew joined the soccer game when he got home.
 And Swinging!
*************
Today something AMAZING happened at MDO.
"Hadley took a nap!"

Cream Cheese Stuffed Snickerdoodles

I've got my helper!!
 Make cookies as directed.
Make two small dough rings and place cream cheese in center.  Sandwich rings together, roll in ball, roll in cinnamon and sugar mixture and place on baking sheet.
Bake at 375* for 8-10 minutes and...
ENJOY!

In the midst of baking I finished up most of my JBF stuff, HOORAY!

Tonight's Dinner:
Broccoli & Cheese Casserole, Salad
*This was a success, Hadley actually ate a pretty big portion.  =)

Another activity for me today was starting/finishing this little bit.
I actually started it a few months back after a girlfriend, Karlye, sent it to me.  I got a few pages in but I guess wasn't ready to read it.  I picked it up again this afternoon and finished it tonight and I'm so glad I did.  I would highly recommend this for anyone who is facing infertility.  Its very uplifting to know this is something that God put on several women in the Bible, not as a punishment, but to help His relationship with Him grow.

Weekend Update {Family Fun Night}

FRIDAY

While we waited for Andrew to get home we kept ourselves occupied with a few things.
Hadley colored for a good bit and when she was finished she asked me to put her name on it.  We write her name a lot and I told her to try. She said, "Oh yes, I can make an H."
And here you have it!!!
I'm not going to lie and may have let out a small scream and cried (just a little bit).

Pumpkin Fairy was the winner today.

When Andrew got home we had planned a Family Fun Night.

We started with lunch at Pei Wei.

Hadley LOVES lo mein.

After lunch Hadley got to pick out a new game to play later.

We had a little bit of time to kill before our movie started and Wal-Mart, and the theater are right by the mall so we stopped in to the Disney Store.  We didn't end up buying anything but this kid just loves going in there.  She picks up probably each and every one of the characters, loves on them and then she's ready to go.

"When in Rome."
At least that's the motto I have when it comes to getting a cookie at the mall.

We went to the $1 movie and Hadley's pick was Arthur Christmas.  It was a very cute movie.

Can't you see the anticipation on her face?

When we got home Andrew and Hadley got her new game ready to go.

It was so much fun!

Hadley loved every part of this game.

SATURDAY

The usual dress-up routine.  Now Hadley has started adding the "necessary" hair-do.
(By prom, I should be pretty good at this stuff.)

Before Andrew got home Hadley and I played another round of Disney HEDBANZ.  I was giving her hints and she was getting them on the second or third hint almost everytime.
Actually once I hinted, "It's a boy." To which she immediately said, "Woody!"
Guess what? It was Woody.

When Andrew got home from school we all went on a walk and stopped in at the neighborhood park.

Andrew and Jake thoroughly enjoying themselves.

It really was a BEAUTIFUL day!!

SUNDAY

We went to church and grabbed a quick lunch on the way home so Andrew could get up to the school and study.
I feel like the rest of my day was dedicated to sorting clothes and entering the info into the computer.  Although I can't lie I really didn't start until about 7, I just couldn't get motivated.

How did JBF sneak up on me like this?

We Love Playdates!

Yesterday was a fun day and since it was so beautiful outside we had a Zoo date.

Shortly after waking up, Hadley took her "friends" and lined them up to sing Happy Birthday.

Eating breakfast while again singing Happy Birthday to Minnie Mouse and Donald.

We had Jai Man yesterday morning too and I think he was wondering what all the birthday business was about, ha.

Somebody looks excited about going to the zoo!

Airika sent her wagon with Jai, which was PERFECT for the zoo.

There are a lot of great animals at our zoo.  Last year they added penguins as well as 2 female giraffes and next month they're opening our new Sea Lion Exhibit, hooray for new animals!

*Elephants*

*Giraffes*
Sam and his new girlfriend.

*Penguins*

Apparently a break was needed to stretch their legs and rock climb a bit.

*Fish of Asia*

Spencer was so sweet to take over pulling the wagon for a bit.

Such a fun group, love you ladies!

We had a little photo session while waiting for the train to arrive.  This is a highlight, for Hadley especially, the train not the pictures, ha.

ALL ABOARD the Choo-Choo Train!

Afterwards we all headed out to enjoy a delicious meal at Tally's.
GREAT playdate!

Andrew had got the OMM table out the night before to work on my back and Hadley wanted to do EVERYTHING on it.

I'm so excited about today, because we're having a FAMILY FUN DAY!  I have a few fun things planned for us to do with Hadley before bedtime and I can't wait.  I'll fill you in on all the happenings later.
