Busy Days...

So the last couple days have been pretty busy. Yesterday was full of all kinds of events we went to the Aquarium, then lunch at Mazzios with a group of people from church, from there we headed to the park and then home for a nap. After nap (which didn't happen till 2:30 meaning she woke up at like 4:45) we waited for daddy to get home then at dinner at Chick-fil-A before heading to church. Wow.... I'm tired just trying to remember all of it.
The first thing we visited at the Aquarium was the otters. Hadley enjoyed the otters but especially liked the fish she could see swimming in the water.
Emerson and Weston enjoyed watching them too.
Weston and Madelyn are a couple of Hadley's friends from church who also came to the Aquarium, they got to feed the turtles.
Her friend Emerson got to feed the turtles too!
Hadley loved the sting rays.

The girls had a blast playing in the shark cage.
All my pictures in the shark tunnel turned out blurry because it was so dark but it was still really neat.
Here are some pictures from the park. Hadley is fascinated with the slide.
Again...again....
Playing on the ChooChoo.

Before heading to Chick-fil-A. This was as close to a smile as I was getting.
Nothing says Chick-fil-A better than some good ole chocolate milk and chicken nuggets.

Today was another busy day starting with Jake's (our dog) trip to the vet. He's been coughing for the last week and kept us up all last night with it and it was just so sad. Anyway, turns out he has an upper respiratory infection. They put him on 2 different meds which he has to take 2x a day. (BLAH!) Also, he's not really to go outside much because as long as he has this infection/cough he is highly contagious to other dogs, poor bubs. So after the vet we dropped Jake back off at the house and headed up to the mall to meet some friends and redeem our GYM BUCKS, yep that's right it started today folks. Had lunch in the food court played at the indoor play-yard, then headed home and finished painting the sunroom. When Andrew got home we went for a jog, it was so pretty outside, only to defeat the purpose by going to Tally's Good Food Cafe, yum. The craziness has ended....well kinda.

Pumpkin Spice Cake!

Today didn't consist of a whole lot. This morning we just played around the house and I finished up on some laundry. Later this afternoon Hadley helped me with some baking and making dinner.
This is Hadley's distress face. (She wanted up on the couch but couldn't get up by herself.)
She looked super cute today!
After nap activity: Pumpkin Spice Cake
Ingredients: Spice Cake, Canned Pumpkin, box of vanilla pudding, 3 eggs, 1/2 cup water, and 1 stick melted butter (not pictured)
Mix all ingredients and pour into greased bundt pan. Bake at 350* for 45 minutes.
Glaze: 1 cup Powdered Sugar, 1 tbsp. Milk, 1/2 tsp. pumpkin spice (Spoon over cooled cake)
The results are 100% enjoyable!
Andrew just got home so we're going to sit down to dinner. Poppy seed chicken, steamed broccoli, and PUMPKIN SPICE CAKE!

A Memorable Monday!

Today involved all those typical Monday things, like: Grocery shopping, cleaning, laundry, plus today I added lawn mowing and weed eating to the mix, BOO!! Hadley was her joyful little self waving and saying hi to EVERYONE at Wal-Mart. Apparently one guy thought she was so cute he would try asking her mom out on a date....WEIRD/AWKWARD! I'm wondering if I'm going to have to give restrictions to Hadley on who she's allowed to flatter.
Of course I had to put in a picture of Hadley's complete outfit for the day.
We played with sidewalk chalk later in the afternoon while we were waiting for daddy to get home.
Loved this picture of her Chucky Ts.
My sweet little girl! (She was a bit focused at the time.)
She and her daddy are pretty good buddies. When she saw him pull up she started yelling, "Daddy, daddy!" I could see both their faces lighting up.
Tonight's dinner was AMAZING: Bacon wrapped filets, green beans and herb rolls.
Hadley really enjoyed it too!
After dinner Andrew stayed home with the Hadster so I could go to my women's bible study. I LOVE staying at home with my sweet little girl, but it really is nice to get out and talk about what's going on in my life with other wives, moms, women...GROWNUPS. Its been amazing and its definitely something I look forward to every week. We're doing Beth Moore's Living Beyond Yourself. We're only a few weeks in, but I already feel like I've grown so much, AMAZING!

I had a wonderful Monday, hope you did too!

Pedis and Parties!!

Well, this weekend was two sweet little girls birthday parties and Hadley was able to go to both! So Friday morning in preparation I gave Hadley and myself matching pedicures: #1 Because it was a party so of course we needed fresh polish and #2 It was purple polish and kinda festive for the season, seeing as though Halloween is just around the corner. Our first party was for a little girl at church, Sadye. She was turning 2 and had an Elmo, or as Hadley says, "Melmo," party.
Cute little table set up.
Sweet birthday girl! Happy Birthday Sadye!
Hadley's friend Emerson, from church, just lounging.I found Hadley playing in one of the rooms as she was trying to get both feet inside the basketball hoop. Fortunately she decided to stop with one when she realized the difficulty of getting the second one in.
They're were lots of kiddos to play with, thanks for inviting us Sadye!!
Saturday was Addi E's party! She was turning 1!
Cute and very yummy cake!
COOKIES!
Hadley kept entertained most of the time with balloons.
Addi got a lei from her grandpa who lives in Hawaii.
Cake time! Addi was a little unsure of having icing on her hands. That is until she tasted it. =)
Hadley also enjoyed some cake. (We had to strip down b/c Hadley can't be trusted with hot pink icing,)
Hadley got Addi and Razorback cheer leading uniform to match hers, now they can be twinkies! (For more sweet pictures of Addi's party click here.)
This morning before heading out for church, I thought we looked "fall-y" plus it actually felt "fall-y," thus we took a picture to commemorate.
The fam.
We had so much fun this weekend with friends and it didn't hurt that we had two parties to enjoy either.

Warm Fuzzies...

Today was a fun day so of course on fun days you need a fun outfit. Hadley was rockin' the 80's something fierce today!
Now onto the focus of this blog post...Warm Fuzzies. We had a week every year when I was in elementary school dedicated to Warm Fuzzies. If you don't know the story of the Warm Fuzzy click here. Anyway, we would always make these treats called warm fuzzies and they would sell them before class started for .25. Well as I'm sure you've already figured out during that week I ALWAYS had .25!!! I looked forward to this week every year. So, I was really craving them today, which naturally means it's WARM FUZZY WEEK in our house.
Hadley was such a good helper when shopping for all the ingredients.
Ingredients you'll need: Almond Bark, Jumbo Marshmallows, Rice Crispies, Toothpicks
You might also need some extra hands, I know I did. (This activity was right after nap time, hints the crazy hair.)
Dip marshmallow in melted almond bark.
Cover with rice crispies.
Place on wax paper to dry.
Daddy helped us with the chocolate Warm Fuzzies.
Vanilla Warm Fuzzies...Chocolate Warm Fuzzies...
My wonderful husband grilled us an amazing meal tonight. Grilled veggies over rice, lemon pepper chicken and of course Warm Fuzzies for dessert, yum!
