Catching Up

Its no surprise to y'all, I haven't done a great job of blogging this week.  There really hasn't been a whole lot going on to blog about but I'll do my best to catch you up.  =)
Last weekend we went to Searcy for Andrew's Granddaddy's funeral.
My sweet girly before we headed out.

Getting comfy on the car ride.

JAKERS!!

Andrew
I think he gets a drink before we head out more so for the straw he can chew on when he's finished than the actual drink itself.

*I left my camera in Searcy so I'm missing several pictures from the weekend.  Thank goodness for phones!*

Me and Hadley at the luncheon before granddaddy's funeral on Monday.

We got in late Monday night and Tuesday ended up being a BIG day in our families baby department!
Jolene had another ultrasound and guess what...
IT'S A GIRL!!!
Paige Ryan

Tuesday afternoon, at 1:01 to be exact, I became an aunt again to this sweet little boy!
Gatlin Huck Van Lear, 6lbs. 8oz. & 20 inches long

My "baby news," Thursday I got my 3rd shot, woohoo!!!  HALFWAY!
I also finished the last book in the Hunger Games series Thursday night, so Andrew I went to see the movie on Friday.
(I'm almost embarrassed to say I started the first book of the series last Friday. I know I'm a bit ridiculous but it was SO good I couldn't stop.)

We've been enjoying the weather SO much this week.  We've done yard work, grilled 3 times for dinner and spent as much time outside as possible!!  Definitely trying to take advantage before summer gets here and its just too hot to enjoy.

This morning our church had their Eggstravaganza in the YMCA courtyard.
Hadley had a blast during the egg hunt.

She loaded up!!

And she got to talk to the Easter Bunny!

Then we headed over to the 4 inflatables they had setup.

Before we left we spent some time on the playground.

Andrew found a crossfit leg workout online and when he got home, the whole fam did it together in the backyard... It was pretty ridiculous!  I'll let you know if I'm able to walk tomorrow.

Right now I'm going to enjoy a dinner of pork tenderloin, mashed cauliflower, and roasted parmesan asparagus.

Thanks for checkin' in!!

A Tribute to Granddaddy Bob

This past weekend we've been with family celebrating the life of Granddaddy Bob.  We couldn't have asked for a better turn out or more beautiful weather for his services.  Thank you to everyone who was able to come!
I only had the pleasure of knowing Granddaddy Bob for the last 7 years, but I can tell you in that time the world is losing a great man.  There isn't anything I could say that hasn't already been said or that you wouldn't know within a couple minutes of meeting him.  Though there is one thing that stands out most and that is he LOVED his family!

We're going to miss you Granddaddy Bob!

Family Time {Norman Style}

Tuesday afternoon Cece, Tamra and the kids came into town all the way from central Arkansas.  Hadley was more than excited to see her cousins.
Andrew and I were excited because we got to start the visit with a date night, while they took all the kids to see The Lorax and swim back at their hotel.

*DATE NIGHT*

We went to Kilkenny's for dinner, its an Irish pub off Cherry St. that has a great atmosphere and delicious food. We started our meal with these delicious oyster nachos, yum!

Wednesday morning we went to breakfast at Tally's.  Then we took the kiddos to the Aquarium while Andrew went to the school to study for a while.

The sharks were a hit.
Addy was keeping a close watch on the bull shark that was swimming behind them.

We had to take a picture outside before we headed home.  I think Addy was over the picture taking at this point, ha.

While Addy conked out for a serious nap, Trey and Hadley had a rest period with a movie.  Then Tamra and I headed out for some shopping.

When we got back Andrew was home so we all headed to dinner at Joe's Crab Shack and CherryBerry for dessert!!

By this time the kiddos were anxious to swim so we headed back to their hotel for bed jumping and swim time.

This morning when the mail man came he had a surprise for Hadley from Mimi & Pap-pa.
(She had left Raja and puppy in Rogers the weekend before.)

We spent the morning just hanging out and eating cinnamon rolls.  Then made a lunch that we all got to enjoy together.
We had such a fun time with everyone so it was sad to see them go, but of course we were sure to give lots of hugs before they left.  =)
Can't get enough family time!

Thanks for checkin' in!!

Weekend Update {OKC}

SATURDAY
Andrew and I got up and made Hadley rainbow pancakes in honor of St. Paddy's Day!

She thought they were the coolest and really enjoyed the rainbow fruit skewers too.
We spent the morning packing for our short family vacay and then headed to McDonald's for a birthday party.
Hadley and Emerson eating their HappyMeals.

My little party girl!

The birthday boy blowing out his candles.

There was ice cream too!!

Hadley modeling the green icing around her mouth, ha.

Erin and I tried to get a cute picture of Hadley and Emerson together.

(I guess this will do.)

*PRESENTS*
 HAPPY BIRTHDAY HUNTER!!

After the party we headed to Oklahoma City.
First, we checked into our hotel, where Hadley broke in the bed with some intense jumping.

We proceeded the evening with dinner at Spaghetti Warehouse.
A guy came around doing magic tricks and made Hadley a balloon.  She was so excited (not evident by the picture) because she had been talking about a balloon the entire meal.

After dinner we headed down the riverwalk for some ice cream.

And to top the evening off we took Hadley to the 3D version of The Lorax, by Dr. Seuss.

Hadley was glued the whole time.  In fact one time she actually reached out to touch something.  When she didn't grab it she took her glasses off and looked around for a minute before putting them back on.

On the walk back to our car we passed through the botanical gardens in Bricktown, gorgeous.

SUNDAY
We started the day with Krispy Kreme.  Then we were headed to the zoo.  It actually turned out to be really windy, but lucky for us the Science Museum was right next door so we did that instead.

*Tornadoes*

Hadley and Andrew got to experience a small tornado in this little booth.

"Now over to our meteorologists Andrew and Hadley...."

For whatever reason Hadley sprinted over to this teeth exhibit.  Maybe we have a potential dentist in our midst.
 *Dinosaurs*

I think both Pap-pa and Pajee would be proud to see Hadley behind the wheel of this John Deere.

Andrew had a blast too.  =)

Hadley was a natural going down the fire pole.

Hadley spent probably 45 minutes "painting" in this little area.
We also got to see a live science show, it was so much fun!  Hadley sat there looking as though she was taking it all in.

On our way out the door we ran into Otto!!!  Hadley got so excited and was all too eager to get her picture taken with him.

Although the plan was to go to the zoo I'm so glad things worked out the way they did.  We didn't have to bother with the wind or the possible rain and we all had a GREAT time.  We're definitely going to have to make a trip back because there was a 2nd floor that we didn't even look at.

We've started our spring break off with a bang.  We have family coming in on Tuesday and I can't wait to spend time with them as well.
What do y'all have planned for your spring break?
