This weekend was full of exciting stuff. Friday Andrew, Hadley and I went to Muskogee with some friends to the Haunted Castle. Don't worry they had PLENTY of stuff for little kids to do Hadley had a blast. Saturday was pretty lazy. We ran some errands and when Andrew got home we did some much needed yard work. Hadley was a big help. Here are some pictures to get you updated.

Gym: I think I know what that is...

So today was the first time I've gone to the gym since we moved here. I have gone on walks and seldom jogs but never to the gym, I know its kinda sad considering we've been here since June. I was really excited about this gym #1- Its women only, #2- It has child care and #3- they have those cool toning tables.

Anyway, I wasn't too nervous about embarrassing my self with how out of shape I was, maybe I should've been, but I was nervous about leaving Hadley. I know, I know... but honestly I haven't left Hadley with anyone but family or close friends before. The crazy mom inside me wanted to take a picture of Hadley and the childcare worker, not for keepsakes, but just in case she stole her I would have a picture to show the police. (I'm only halfway kidding.)
For real though, when I went to get her, thankfully she was still there, but the girl was in the corner on the phone and Hadley was playing with a Sunny Delite sport bottle that still had residue from SOMEONE ELSES DRINK!!! (Hadley is actually notorious for going through the trash. Just today I walked into the living room to find the empty box of waffles I had just thrown away in the middle of the floor.) Its a nice gym but I'm thinking I may start waiting till Andrew gets home before I go workout.

Hadley looked super cute today, but are you suprised? (Rockin' the plaid and boyfriend jeans like its 1980.)

Tonight for dinner we had homemade BBQ Chicken Pizza.
These are the ingredients I used: Pizza Crust, Red & Green Onion (chopped), grilled chicken, pizza blend cheese, fully cooked bacon (cut into pieces), and of course BBQ sauce. (My uncle makes his own BBQ sauces and this is one of his, Sweet-n-Smokey)
I layer in this order you can do whatever you choose:
1. BBQ sauce, cheese, chicken, cut bacon, chopped onions, more cheese (for those of you who have cheese lovers in your home)
2. Bake @ 425* until golden, combine with a salad and ENJOY!!!

Earthquakes & Early Mornings...

As you know, from yesterday's post, Hadley spent her first night in her big girl bed. She went to bed really easy and stayed there ALL night!! Although it ended up being an early morning due to the fact that in a big girl bed the railing only goes halfway across the front of the bed. Well, Hadley found the half that didn't have railing around 4:30 this morning and rolled out of bed. Talk about waking up on the wrong side of the bed... (Yes, you're right that was really cheesy.) Nap time did not go quite as smoothly, but I really think she's adjusting pretty well.Add Image
A picture from last night.
She LOVES her new bed!
I think Jake's starting to get a little jealous that he's never mentioned in any of the posts so I thought I would throw in this picture of him and his newly groomed self. Isn't he a stud?!?!
Andrew loving on his kiddos after walking in the door from school. (Jake'll be so excited he got 2 pics!)
Oh yeah and today I experienced my second earthquake and Hadley's first! (My first being in St. Louis when Audrey was born, 7.2 on the richter scale.) This morning Tulsa had, according to the officials, an earthquake measuring a 4.5, craziness. What really makes it crazy is I didn't even notice it and although the quake originated from Norman, the strongest point in Tulsa, was supposedly in downtown which really isn't that far from my house...huh?.?.? The airport is really close to our house as well, so I usually equate any shaking to a massive jet flying overhead. Another funny thing about this, when I got online to look up more information Tulsa Earthquake Insurance was already at the top of the google page, haha! (Maybe I shouldn't be laughing and should be filling out paperwork.)

Ummm yeah pretty sure I don't know what this means or how to read it but apparently this was our earthquake today.

Hope you enjoyed the excitement and randomness of today's blog. I also want to leave you with this sweet mommy/parent poem that was on one my friends blog, check it out.

Bye, Bye Crib...Hello Big Girl Bed!

So for those of you who didn't know Beauty and the Beast came out of the Disney vault for the first time in 10 years on October 5th. Needless to say I got it for Hadley and we watched it as a family last night. I really did forget how much I love this movie. We tried to get Hadley to say Belle but once she sees the Disney castle come up on the screen everything is "Mermaid."
This afternoon for lunch Hadley had quite the spread. (2 Fish sticks, corn on the cob, bananas & peaches) I really think she's going through a growth spurt because she's been eating, a lot!!!
Speaking of eating we had our usual Tuesday baking activity, which today consisted of Halloween Funfetti sugar cookies. We cut them into pumpkins and then iced and sprinkled them later on. Hadley was such a good helper and even helped to roll the dough out!
Today we converted Hadley's crib into a toddler bed. A couple weeks ago I went in to get Hadley from her nap and she had one leg over the rail. I should have known then it was time but today ended up being the day. Today I heard her talking in her room but I had just laid her down not too long ago so I figured she would go back to sleep, up until I heard a big thud. I went into her room to find her on the floor (hardwood) crying! Needless to say I didn't need another incident to tell me it was time. She went to bed fine in it and as of a few minutes ago she's still in it.
My baby is growing up so fast!!!

Midterm Med School SHOUT*OUT!!!

That's right Andrew's already to midterms its crazy how fast its actually going by. I'm so proud of how well he has done and how well he's prioritized everything so he can still get all the studying he needs to get done as well as family time. WAY TO GO BABY!!!! Anyway, like I said he has been doing very well. He would probably kill me for posting this so I'll just put the letter grades and not the true percentage.

Monotonous Monday!

Today, like all monday's, unfortunately consisted of the usual grocery shopping and cleaning, not my favorite, but again not something I can really skip either. I got to catch up with both of my sister-in-laws on the phone today which was nice. Its weird because for a while before we moved to Tulsa I was living with one and practically living with the other and now I hardly see or talk to them, needless to say we had plenty to talk about. Anyway, while I was talking to one of them, I won't say which, she was getting really worried about her seat getting so hot in her car and kept saying she didn't have a seat heater. I then thought it was the sun maybe heating her seats and mentioned that as an option, she said no and that it was actually not that hot outside nor was it sunny. At this point I was trying to think of what mechanical objects could be under the drivers seat making it so hot and couldn't think of anything. This went on for a few minutes. Then I thought, we have the same type of car and so I told her where my seat heater button was located....low a behold she does have a seat heater and it was on. This was both reassuring and very comical.
Other happenings:
Got the trick or treat decal for Hadley's bucket!
While my sister was in Vegas she got me my birthday present!
(Its early my birthday's not till November 14th)
Random, but we've been slowly getting our house together the way we want it and I'm stuck on my bedroom. I found this bedding not very long ago at Pottery Barn and I'm completely in love!!!! I would love to know what you think about it!

All I have to do now is convince Andrew its time for change....fingers crossed!
