While Andrew and I were at the ball Hadley spent some quality time with her Pajee and Cece baking up some cupcakes.

When we got home the first thing Hadley said to me was, "Mommy, where's your black princess [dress]?"  

Then we headed to lunch at Tally's with Cece and Pajee before they went home.  Hadley whispered a few Christmas wishes into HoHo's ear.

I just realized while going through some past posts that I never posted about Hadley's Thanksgiving program at MDO.  I know it's horrible, but better late than never...right?

Holiday Ball 2011

Last night was OSU-COM's annual Holiday Ball.  I can honestly say I have been looking forward to this all year.  I love getting all fancied up and I love seeing everyone else all fancied up too!

Before heading out.

While I was getting ready Hadley came in and said, "Mommy you're a princess!" To which she asked to get dressed up like a princess too.  

Before we headed to the ball we stopped at the Relic's house for some appetizers.

1st Appointment News!!!

Well I had my appointment yesterday and I'm very excited to say we have pinpointed a problem! 

Is it weird that I'm excited about that?

I love my new doctor and feel like he really listens to me and he is VERY pro-active. 

After our meeting in his office he grabbed one nurse and sent her to start lab work on me and told another to set up the ultrasound room because, "We need to find out what's going on with Ms. Janelle."

They took 4 tubes of blood (not sure what each were for but the more blood the better, ha) and I went in for the ultrasound.

Shortly after he started I heard him say, "There it is." and he turned the screen to me.  All I could see were black dots everywhere.  He said, "This is what polycystic ovary syndrome looks like."

 This is not mine but its pretty close.  I think every available space on mine was full of black dots.

He told me I had roughly 30 on my right ovary and 40+ on my left.  He is about 99% sure I have endometriosis so we have scheduled my laparoscopic procedure for January 13th.  After which they will start me on medication to reduce the size/number of cysts. 

I felt so morbid because he kept telling me this was a bad case of PCOS and I had a huge grin on my face and said, "So that's good, right?  Now we know what it is."  He just looked at me and said, "Yeah......"

I couldn't be more excited to find out some news even if it isn't all that great.  Thanks for your prayers!

"Oh Bring Us A Figgy Pudding"

Last night I had a pretty serious to do list.  I was up till around 2:30am, ugh.  

This was due mostly to the figgy pudding I decided to make around 9:30pm. (The figs had to soak in hot water for 2 hrs then it had to bake for 2 hrs.)

I also wrapped the rest of the presents.

I made a pecan pie for today's dinner we (SAA) brought to the students for finals.

Hadley was a mess today.  She found some leftover deco mesh and decided to dress up.  She looked over at me and said, 

"Mommy look, I Spiderman!"

Not really sure.

When Andrew got home I was in desperate need of laundry folding time so the two of them played Candy Land.

This was Hadley's FIRST EVER board game!  

Oh and she beat Andrew every time, haha!  He kept reminding me, "Its all in the luck of the draw."

But what else can you say when you lose 3 times to a 2 year old?

After a bit of folding I headed out to get my spray tan for the Ball tomorrow night.  While I was checking in the girl talked me into doing the level 2.  =/

So far so good, but we'll see how it looks when I wake up.

Christmas Tea

Today was our SAA, AOOA, ATOMS Christmas Tea.  We had amazing food and desserts, gifts and an ornament exchange.
