Shakin' Bakin' Tuesday & The Outfit Change

Today Hadley was really not in the mood for a morning picture before school.  Believe it or not these were the faces she made even after I offered candy corn.
When I picked Hadley up from school today she was actually still taking her nap.  This is big, she's not a good nap taker and honestly this is her first nap to take while at school.
Besides the fact she was asleep, there was another thing I noticed about Hadley and that was, she was in a different outfit from what I sent her in.
Apparently she had a terrible blow-out!  I sent her today in a pull-up (which isn't as absorbent/heavy duty as a diaper) since we're working on the potty training bit.  Well it didn't hold.  Her teacher said she didn't notice till they were cleaning up the room after centers and there was "stuff" on the floor.
Yep, my kid goes ALL out!!!

Of course someone needed to check and make sure the marshmallows were edible.

Can you tell she really enjoys this kind of thing?!

We added the apron for the vanilla ones.  =)

YUM!!

Weekend Update!

FRIDAY
My mom had ordered Hadley this adorable Steelers cheerleading uniform and it just came in the other day.  We had a little fashion show and Hadley loved it.
When I took this picture Hadley was eating some cantaloupe, hints the awkward face.

SATURDAY
We had  such a great day!  Most of it was spent watching college football, which made this house a happy home.  After Hadley's nap we went outside to play for a bit.

Andrew and I enjoyed our Happy Hour treats while Hadley enjoyed her playground.

I also enjoyed taking pictures of my girl while she played.

*Sweet Little Feet*

We went to the OSU v. TU game with some friends of ours Saturday night.
This was right before meeting up with them.

Well, the game was supposed to start at 9pm, but 5 minutes before kick-off they issued a severe weather warning.  I thought the weather warning was just part of TU's entrance since they're the Hurricanes, unfortunately I was wrong.

We were then evacuated into the basketball stadium.... for 3 HOURS!

While we waited we listened to the OSU band, watched the OU v FSU game and watched some little kids play basketball.  The game resumed at 12:15am, we only stayed for the first quarter.

SUNDAY
We barely made it to church for late service, then headed to lunch.

After lunch we took Hadley to see The Lion King in 3D it was too much fun and Hadley loved it.

Tonight we met with our community groups and ours went to the park.

What a GREAT weekend!!

T.G.I.F. Favorites

It's been a few weeks since I've done this, but here are my favorites from the week!

My Favorite Project:
Hadley's Halloween Costume
L-O-V-E

Favorite Techie Thing:
Blogspot has this cool new feature.  If you click on a picture from a blog post it pulls up all the pictures from that post, enlarges them and puts them into a slideshow.  I tried other blogs (wordpress or websites) but it only did it for blogspot.

Favorite Picture and Event:
Even though the Hadster isn't smiling I still love this picture and I'm so glad we got to go up and have lunch with Andrew one day this week.

My Favorite Hadley Moments:
1- I love that Hadley has the characters in her hands in this picture because they have been with her ALL week.  Her left hand is Strawberry Shortcake, or "Strawberry Ortcake." And the other hand is one of her friends who has something to do with chocolate, but I didn't know her name.  Hadley just calls her "Strawberry Ortcake Friend."
2- I'm getting Hadley to smile for pictures right now by coaxing her with Candy Corn, ha.
3- Today while at "Chick-A-Flick" Hadley was playing and I told her to do something, she responded in a sigh with, "Yes, mother."  Oh my word, when did she turn 15?!?!?
4- Hadley has almost completely memorized the Lord's Prayer.  The video is on my facebook page but unfortunately I can't get it to upload onto the blog.  =(

Favorite New Experiences:
Library Story Time
I know its probably horrible that this was the first time I have brought Hadley to the library, but I think its going to start being a weekly thing, we LOVED it!

Farmer's Market
I've been before but this was Hadley's first experience.  I think this will also be a regular event while they are open.

Favorite Seasonal Drink:
Pumpkin Latte!!!  Yes, please!
Hope your week was full of some of your favorite things!

A Busy Day!

Hadley's preschool outfit debut for today!
It was actually pretty cool today so Hadley rocked a nice fall outfit.  With her new loves: her TOMS.

After dropping her off I headed to Starbucks and got me a big'ole Skinny Pumpkin Latte.  The Barista gave me some other tasty ideas of how to mix things up.  She suggested trying a white mocha pumpkin latte or adding the toffee-nut flavor to it.  I have some new things to try next time!

After my pumpkin fix I headed to a luncheon for the Auxiliary to the Tulsa Osteopathic Medical Society (ATOMS) with some of the other SAA officers.

Donna Cannon, pictured below, is a chef here in town as well as a wife to one of the doctors.  She made an AMAZING meal for us today and did a little cooking show for us.
She also made handouts of all the recipes!! Don't mind if I do.

MENU:
Mozzarella Cheese Bread
Oven-Fried Zucchini Sticks with Marinara Sauce
Roasted Garlic Soup
Rotisserie Chicken Pasta Salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette
Tiramisu Ice Cream Cake

After the meeting I picked Hadley up from school, we headed home for a bit and then headed back out to the farmer's market by our house when it opened at 4.
I got all this, plus 2 little cucumbers, which Hadley already ate, for $8!!!

I also added some more fall accents.

Well, I think that pretty much concludes my day!
