Shakin' Bakin' Tuesday!!

This morning, before school, Hadley was not in the best of moods.  She was having a hard time finding Jessie and her wildlife animals (all must haves on the ride to school) when I took this picture.
Little did she know the turmoil this day would bring to her poor Jessie doll.

After I picked Hadley up from school it was absolutely gorgeous outside.  I thought it would be fun to have a little mommy daughter date to Utica Square, walk around, and go into some of the stores.  This will be a day that will go down in history for the worst my daughter has EVER behaved.  It was one thing after another and I was mortified to the point of tears, so..... we left.

When we got to the car Hadley asked for her "Jessie Doll" and she (Jessie) was no where in sight.  I looked back from where we had walked and didn't see her, then I tried driving around some of the places we had gone and still didn't see her.  All I could hear in my head was Jessie's Song from Toy Story 2, "When She Loved Me."

Before we went home I had to make a quick stop into Neighborhood Market.  When I went to get the dressing I turned to find Hadley dragging bags of apples across the floor, yelling "They too heavy!"  Then she was running around like a crazy person grabbing EVERY fruit/vegetable she saw.  I brilliantly thought I didn't need a basket/cart therefore I have no free hands when I see her taking a bite out of a plum she has just picked up off the shelf.  REALLY?!  I seriously was in tears and headed to the check-out where the handle on my rotisserie chicken broke and chicken juice went all over the floor.  Hadley was too busy asking the lady behind us in line for a ring pop to even notice, but I was a hot mess.

I finally got my stuff together and headed home where Hadley was greeted by her time out mat.  And she was not aloud to participate in tonight's baking activity.
Harsh...maybe.

After time out Hadley went into cleaning mode.

My amazing husband went searching through Utica Square before coming home, but still no "Jessie Doll."

Tonight's Dinner:
Berry Salad
(Spring mix, rotisserie chicken, strawberries, blueberries, cashews and poppyseed dressing)

Today's Activity:
Banana Bread

Thanks for checkin' in!!

  3. Oh, I'm so sorry! The one and ONLY time I have let Connor loose at the grocery store he started pulling all the pretty colorful cereal boxes off. Disaster! I know you probably didn't think it at the time, but those crying pictures are adorable. And that salad looks AMAZING! Hope you find Jessie.. or maybe her twin sister???.. soon!
