Weekend Update! {Post-Op}

The best thing about our weekend has been how ABSOLUTELY spoiled we have gotten in regards to meals.  Thank you to everyone who has made us something!!

SATURDAY
{Post-Op: Day1}
My brother had to head back for work later in the afternoon. =(
For the most part we took it easy, but we did try to get out and went to lunch at Tally's.  It was delicious as always.

My sister headed back home after a delicious Mexican Chicken dish my mom had made.

SUNDAY
{Post-Op: Day2}
My parents left that morning, we went to church and then had lunch with friends at Freddy's.  I was in need of a nap apparently because I went to lay down and woke up 4 hours later.  Just in time for my mother-in-law to arrive and my sweet friend Airika to bring us this yummy lasagna and breadsticks.

After dinner we went back to church as they were showing the movie Courageous.  I highly recommend this movie and yes I cried. (Surprising I know.)

After the movie we introduced Cece to the game of Rummikub.  Andrew dominated us both but it was fun no less.

MONDAY
{Post-Op: Day3}
Cece, Hadley and I ran to the mall to pick up a gift for my soon to be 3 y/o niece, Addy.  (I cannot believe she's almost 3!!)
Of course while we were there we had to ride the carousel.
 And take a spin in this cool car.

When we got home Cece took Hadley to the Bouncy Barn so I could rest for a bit. Right about the time I got up another sweet friend of mine, Amanda, brought us beef rigatoni, YUM.
After dinner we made these Carmelitas I found on pinterest.
SUPER YUM!
You can find the recipe HERE!
Hadley was helping me count out 32 caramel pieces.

While I finished up our dessert Hadley challenged Cece and Andrew to a game of Candy Land and WON!

TUESDAY
{Post-Op: Day4}
I have been very lazy and tired today.  (I may have been overdoing it a bit the last few days.)  I'm not sore or anything just CRAZY tired.  Cece left this morning and I took Hadley to MDO so I could rest.  I woke up just in time to pick Hadley up and then talked Hadley into cuddling up in my bed to watch a movie then dozed off again.  I think I should be all rested up now.  =)

My timing is impeccable because again when I woke up I had dinner waiting for me.  Another amazing friend of mine, Bekah, brought dinner tonight.
Chicken & Spinach Tortellini in a Lemon Cream Sauce with the best homemade bread!

Recovery has been going great for me I really don't have anything to complain about.
 The most common misconceptions I have had as a part of this procedure would be:
1. Thinking you're good to wear blue jeans on Post-Op: Day1.  No you're not!  I tried it out and it was a mistake.  I have been wearing sweats and when I want to wear jeans I had Andrew get out my maternity jeans.  (Oh yes I did!)
2. Speaking of maternity...  To do this procedure they inject a lot of air into your abdomen to give the surgeon more working room.  When the procedure is over they try to release as much as possible but they don't get it all.  Thus I have looked anywhere from 4 to 6 months pregnant since Friday afternoon and I have felt like I may float away at any given moment.
3. You never know how many things you use your abs for until they hurt.  (Ex. sitting down, standing up, sneezing, coughing, etc.)

Thanks for checkin' in!!
