Lunch With Daddy.

This morning I had to run an errand up town to get a new straightner because my CHI of 3 years just went kaput. =( I found one at Sally's that the lady said was awesome and it was half the price of a CHI. Got it home and... LOVE it, HOORAY! Anyway, after the straightner errand we went and had lunch with Andrew. I didn't take any pictures of lunch itself just when we dropped him back off at school. Hadley was in a mood all morning but as soon as she saw him walking to the car she started laughing and saying, "Daddy... Daddy!" We went to Subway, which seems simple, but it was so nice since most days he leaves before we get up and comes home just a few hours before we head to bed. He's been working so hard and we're so proud. Here's the picture from lunch today.
Following the drop-off we headed home for Hadley's nap. And afterwards it was all play. Well... and candy corn, evident by the picture below.
Chit-chattin with some girlfriends.
The child has a room FULL of toys and yet chooses to walk around with a bucket on her head for entertainment, priceless.
This is a picture before leaving for church tonight. Its hard to tell because she kept leaning her head back in the pictures, but Hadley has her first PONYTAIL! (kinda)

That pretty much sums it up. Thanks for checkin' in!!

Wow...What a day!

Today was one of those days where I feel like I accomplished SO much! Besides doing laundry, sweeping & mopping the floors, dusting, cleaning the bathroom, going grocery shopping, and finally getting a screen for our fireplace (who knew they only sold those seasonally) I also got some projects done. The first being an end table my mother in law got us right after we got married. Its a good quality table but I really needed something to hold the TV in Hadley's playroom so she can watch movies in there. Here is what it looked like.
First I sanded it. Mainly because while we were painting Hadley's bedroom Andrew painted a chunk of it and I didn't want the paint to lay uneven. This is just the basic Black & Decker square sander.
Then I chose to spray paint it so I wouldn't have all the streaks from a paint brush. This is Valspar Summer Leaf.
Ta-da! Before going into the room.
In place. Excuse the window frames I still have to paint those. Just pretend they're already white.
My other project was to start decorating for fall, hooray! I know its not official, but I got the okay from Andrew so I ran with it.
We'll start in the dining room.Living room...Mantel...Kitchen...Also, while grocery shopping I was thinking of how picky of an eater Hadley is. Some of you moms probably have lots of secrets, that I would love to hear (please post), but I thought I would share a couple meals that she will actually eat and that are pretty healthy.
1.) Velveeta Spirals w/ broccoli (macaroni but its has veggies)
2.) Campbell's Select Chicken & Vegetable (I heat it up then poor out the broth and she LOVES it)
3.) Rotisserie Chicken ($3-$4 at Wal-Mart: I cut it up and she'll eat it for lunch or dinner and really enjoys it)
If you have any other helpful food ideas PLEASE post them I would love to give her a little more variety. =)
Thanks for checkin' in!

A Week of Events!

The past week Hadley and I took a road trip to visit some family. Andrew had a very big test this past Monday and another one tomorrow so we thought we would go on a trip to give him some quality study time without worry about not spending time with us. =)
Our first stop was Bentonville/Rogers where we visited my family. We had a fun day of shopping and Hadley got to spend some quality time with her cousin Audrey. In this picture they were taking turns screaming as loud as they could. It really was a 'fun' game.

Of course they needed to play dress up. Hadley was Cinderella, pretty cute.
Then it was on to Searcy to visit Andrew's family. We met up with Hadley's cousins Trey and Addison (Addy) and played at the "Ole Mac Donald" PlayPlace. Trey was really enjoying his free ice cream cone.Addy had a blast!"Podshee" (PJ) was thrilled to have some playtime with the kiddos. And of course while we were in town we had to schedule a playdate with a girlfriend! Thanks Addi E for hanging out and for the entertaining lunch date!
We're home now and it didn't take Hadley long to walk in the door and run to her room saying "night, night." She loved spending time with friends and family and is totally worn out.

Thanks for checkin' in!

How 'bout Them HOGS!!

I'll be honest I was getting a little nervous there at the end, but they pulled it together and boy am I pumped. GO HOGS!! Hadley was also excited about the game and demanded to wear the adorable new cheerleading dress we got her from Hays.
I also wanted to post on my other new purchases from Hays. I got a new pair of TOMS and a new watch! The watch I've been looking for for weeks and found it really cheap at Hays, HOORAY!

Hope you enjoyed the Hogs game and my new purchases as much as I did! Have a great evening! Pin It

400 Channels....Bwaaa?!?!?!

So Andrew and I have been living in the dark ages for about a year now. That is, no cable. Well seeing as though its football season Andrew couldn't go much longer without it. We looked at Dish and DirecTV and then the AT&T guy came by our house and told us they were rewiring for their internet and satellite cable. For those of you looking for something this is where its at. All the wiring is done under ground so when its cloudy, storming, even a tornado... YOU WILL HAVE CABLE. The guy said the only way it will go out is if the cable is broken or cut. If the power goes out, obviously your TV won't work but the internet and home phone still will.

I was excited to have some fun channels for Hadley to watch too. There is actually one channel where your child can watch 4 shows at one time, a bit overkill but still!! Hadley was excited just for Little Bear.

I feel like such a dork for being excited but seriously no cable for a year. Honestly, I'm mainly excited we'll be able to watch all our football games at home!!! HOORAY FOOTBALL!!! Hope everyone is having a great day! Pin It
