A Snowy Monday

So today was my typical Monday and then some. Hadley got up much earlier than usual, so of course as most days, we start our day when Hadley starts. =)

Anyway, I let Hadley color with a red pen thinking I've let her before and it was no big deal. Today proved to be much different. As I was doing my Monday cleaning I came back to find Hadley not coloring on the paper she was given but coloring on her F-A-C-E!!!!

Yes...Hadley enjoyed this puddle in our neighbor's driveway more than the snow.

I had to actually put her in the snow to take this picture. Soon after she started reaching for the tree saying, "Tree, Tree." Most likely because she wanted to climb it, I'm not 100% on that though.

After playing in the snow I did my usual Monday Wal-Mart run and while walking past the Valentine candy, I passed these. What?!?!?! They also had Cadbury Creme Eggs next to them. I'm confused or maybe they are?

When we got home from Wal-Mart Hadley went down for her nap and I finished my cleaning. When she got up we ran a quick trip to Lowe's to return some stuff and then had lots of fun playing with her blocks and just chillin.

Hadley apparently didn't like her bow in the front so she readjusted it.

We ended up having some friends come over tonight for dinner (Tomato Soup & Grilled Cheese, YUM). She is pregnant and is having a girl around the same time as Hadley was born so she went through some of Hadley's things and found some cute stuff that she liked. It was so crazy looking back through all of her newborn things trying to remember her being that small.

They have a little boy who is a few months younger than Hadley and they played so well tonight. This was them having a tea party just before putting Hadley to bed, precious!

A couple high points for the day to end on:

1. We've been working on the letters in Hadley's name and spelling her name. Today when we were at Lowe's she recognized and pointed out the 'L' and the 'E'.
2. Also, while at Lowe's I picked up some color swatches in the paint department (blue, green, purple, pink, red, yellow) I then asked her to pick out the pink card and she grabbed the pink one and then blue and she picked out the blue card!!!!! I was so excited! I started praising her and getting so excited forgetting there was no one else who really appreciated it as much as I did. (Which I was reminded of when I saw the guys face working the paint counter)
3. Again...at Lowe's as we were leaving Hadley waved and yelled, "Bye, bye" to our cashier, the lady at the door and everyone we met on our way to the car. She's just the sweetest.
