Shakin' Bakin' Tuesday!

Andrew had an Anatomy test yesterday and in celebration he slept in. (Well, he didn't get up at his usual 4:30 only 7:00.) Which meant we got to see him before he left for school! This is our sweet girl watching her daddy go to school.
This afternoon we had a play date/lunch date with the other Hadley and her momma at Chick-fil-A. Hadley had so much fun and wore herself out! Afterwards we finished our Christmas shopping for the cousins, HOORAY!!! Now only if that meant I was done, what a wonderful world it would be.

This was Hadley when I went to get her from nap, desperately trying to clean up before I saw the mess she had made. Not quite fast enough little girl.

Today's baking activity was Donut Acorns!! I saw these on someone's FB wall and they looked so cute! They didn't post a recipe nor did I look one up. =/ This was kinda messy, but its chocolate so its not all bad. There might be a better recipe out there, but this is what the Normans did.
Ingredients:
Donut hole, chocolate almond bark, Symphony bar (or your choice), and pretzel pieces
Crush your Symphony bar.
Hadley enjoying some of the ingredients before starting.

Dip half the donut into melted Almond Bark.
Cover chocolate side with crushed candy bar.
While donuts are drying place pretzel piece in the top for the stem.
TA*DA!!!

Tonight's Dinner:
Turkey Meatloaf Florentine
w/ garlic mashed potatoes, salad, and herb rolls.
I look at recipes more as guidelines rather than rules to be followed, I do a lot of tweaking as I go, but here's the recipe I went from for the meatloaf.

Before getting in the bath, but not before getting naked Andrew had Hadley help him pick up the shoes she threw around her room. She really is a good helper, in the buff and all.
I'm sure there are some of you who are concerned about all the risks that go along with letting a toddler go naked. Well let it be known Hadley indeed DID pee on the floor during her naked activity. "Note to self..."

Thanks for checkin' in!!
